I'm Back & ready for round #2!

Hello! So, I haven't posted anything since 3 months ago. That was the time I had to wait before I was able to try round #2 of Clomid due to the MTX injection I received. Unfortunately, I have to go thru the saline sono again which was very painful for me. Now I'm stuck with making a decision between Clomid or IVF. OK so my 1st round of Clomid, my body reacted very good to it and I conceived. But it was a Chemical pregnancy (it did not implant in the uterus and they weren't sure "where" it implanted). This is why I was given a dose of MTX to end it. The good thing was that I conceived. Now, I'm debating on whether to try round #2 & pray that it implants in the uterus this time OR go right to IVF. Dr. says I have a 10-15% with Clomid and a 50% chance with IVF. Of course, the costs vary greatly and nothing is 100%. Does anyone have experience with conceiving on Clomid or IVF? If so, can you please share your story with me? Maybe that will help with my decision. Just a little info: I'm 36 TTC baby #1 (diagnosed with: PCOS and scarred fallopian tube :( My husband is 37 (no issues).

    well I have not had success with clomid, and can't afford IVF, maybe try one more cycle clomid and then move into IVF? Just a thought

    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm sorry about your loss :(  I have had two pregnancies on Clomid 50 mg and 100mg, but sadly both ended in m/c.  I have never had IVF... I agree with the PP's suggestion of giving Clomid another try or two before moving onto IVF.   Good luck to you.
    Me, 41; DH 38; TTC since July 2012, 1st round of Clomid, BFP on 10/19, what an incredible blessing!  M/c on 7w3d; D&C on 11/30; 4th round of Clomid 100mg = BFP on 04/19!!! M/c #2 at 7w; D&C on 5/30, then repeat D&C on 7/1.  Saline u/s on 8/2, uterus looks great!  Will start TTC in 09/13 w/ Clomid 100mg. Surprise natural BFP on 8/25!!! Beta #1=95, #2=182, #3=404!  EDD 5/4/13...Grow baby grow!

    I did not conceive on clomid and am in my first tww after IVF. I would say give clomid a couple more tries. Is there a reason he jumped from clomid to IVF? Seems like there are loads of options between the two like injectables with times intercourse or IUI. Good luck with whatever you decide!
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

    i conceived on Clomid 3rd try with 1st try IUI. the IUI helped.

    I have no experience with Clomid, but wanted to wish you good luck.
    Me-41, Hubby-40.
    1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
    2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
    3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
    August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

    Thank you all for your support and advice! I think I am going to try another round of Clomid before going to IVF. I am scheduled for another Saline sono on Monday. I am not looking forward to it since I passed out on my 1st Saline Sono BUT I have to do what I have to do...all for Baby #1!

    MarylandWed-The Dr. said because I have scarring in my Fallopian tubes, IVF would be my best option because it avoids the fallopian tubes all together. So, injectables is not an option for me. I have had 2 IUIs with my 1st round of Clomid so I am hopeful
