Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Rolling over.

I read that most babies will start the rolling over process between 4 and 6 months. I only even googled it, because I just watched in amazement my son roll from his stomach to his back... twice. I figured I had probably aided him the first time he did it by not putting him completely on his belly, so I flipped him back and made sure he was flat on his stomach, and then sure enough he rolled again.

He is 11 weeks old, and was 4 weeks premature. It would be really cool for him to start rolling more. I think it's amazing to watch!

  • DS dis the same thing the other night- during tummy time, he rolled over from tummy to back, three separate times.. he's barely three weeks!!

  • My daughter was just less than 6 weeks and started. She does it almost every time she is on her tummy. It's more common near 3-6 months but obviously not impossible. Cute to watch but meeting those kind of milestones before the average, while fun, doesn't mean anything.
