Would this be bad?

So, DS is an allergic boy. When his nose gets runny, his eyes usually run too. So, he's allergic right now or maybe has a mild cold. Anyway, yesterday they told DH when he picked DS up from daycare that DS has pinkeye and can't come back without a doctor's note. Words can't explain how much he does NOT have pinkeye. He had some eye boogers yesterday, and today his eyes are totally clear. They look like any other eyes out there. I had pinkeye a few months ago and you can freaking tell when someone has it. So, now DH has to keep him home until his doc appt at 4. He works from home, luckily, but it's really hard for him to work with DS around, obviously. I just started my job, so I can't take a full day off, but I am leaving early to take him to the doctor. They'll probably think I have Munchausen's by proxy since his eyes look normal. Anyway, that's my grrr vent, but here's my question. When I go to the doctor, I want to wait in the well, not sick, waiting room? Does this make me a dick? I mean, I don't want to take him for fake pinkeye only to have him catch real pinkeye!

@fredalina, I am 100 percent positive it's not pinkeye and about 95 percent positive it's not a cold. He's acting just like a normal toddler.

Oh, I forgot the best part! DH tried to take him to one of those minute clinics in our grocery and the doctor there said, "I can't see him if he's not 2, but, yeah, he definitely doesn't have pinkeye." Serenity now.

I can't even count how many times my current DC has done this. It's just one of the many reasons we're switching.

I'd sit on the well side and when you have the note saying he can go back, hand it to the director and be like "You're not a dr. You can't diagnose my kid."

Ok, maybe not say that, but I would. But the director and owner at my DC are bitches.

I made lemonade with my lemons and changed his appointment to his 2 year old well baby check since he's almost 2. She said as long as he really isn't sick, they'll give him his shots and stuff! So hopefully, he's good to go and I won't have to miss work again in a few weeks. Well side, it is!
