Has anyone made a cloth diaper? Between myself and my mom I think we could sew a few diapers so I'm wondering if anyone else has done this? Where did you get the fabrics, pattern?
There are a few free patterns online. They even can show you no sew t-shirt diapers. If you know how to sew you can make awesome diapers just depending on your skills and how far you want to take the project. Remember snaps last longer but Velcro is easier to sew on.
The only thing I've done is an upcycled fleece soaker and a t-shirt prefold. But I have a good friend who sewed almost all her PUL covers that she stuffs with prefolds. She watched sales and bought the PUL from Joanns. I think she bought a pattern from Joanns as well, but ended up liking the size/shape of Flips better, so she kind of made her own pattern using a Flip as inspiration.
My MIL and I made our whole stash. We used the Nykibaby pattern from Etsy. We ordered most fabrics from kidsinthegarden.com and some from Jo-Ann's. If you can sew, it is pretty easy!
