Let's talk swings!

I have heard it is advised to get two swings. We already have one from our previous pregnancies and it has served us well. It is a graco model. We will keep that one. Can you recommend a swing to make the pair? It seems that my babies prefer the swing over the bouncer so I am going to assume that the twins will too. Thanks

I would definitely wait to get a second. One of my boys would scream bloody murder when I'd try to put him in. The other only tolerated it after 4 mos. If they both like it, you can always order a second. That being said, we had one of the Graco Sweetpeace models. It's big, but really nice.

  • We only needed 1 swing.  I think there were only 2 times that I wished we had 2.  But, I really like our My Little Snugabunny swing.  It plugs in so you don't have to worry about changing the batteries every few weeks or so.

  • We couldn't have survived without two. They loved their swings! We had the Fischer price space saver swings and they were awesome! They napped in them and even slept in them when teething since it hurt to lay down. IMO two swings are a must have.

  • In hindsight, I would have LOVED to have two swings. They both adored sleeping in them, and we were constantly having to bounce the other to sleep in the bouncer. But, by the time we got to that point -- the girls were 3-4 months adjusted, and we knew it didn't make sense to shell out another $100+ for a few short months. So, we stuck it out -- and make the transition to crib naps shortly thereafter.

  • We have the Snugabunny as well, and it's great. Having two swings has been a lifesaver.
We have this swing, too -- it's amazing. Pretty sure the music puts me to sleep when we turn it on. #Pavlovsdog

  •  I also love the Snugabunny and definitely needed 2 swings. They were an absolute lifesaver, especially when they decided they wouldn't nap anymore at 3-4 months.

I keep thinking I want to get rid of at least one of them to save space but at 7 months, both babies still love the swing!
