We're thinking of leaving it off FB completely. My idiot brother wrote a comment of FB and 'outed' me, but I took it down fairly quickly. I'm not sure why we've decided to keep it off FB, it's just what feels right for us right now.
I'm even more decided on my decision not to announce until 16-20 weeks. I just did the math and I wont see my husband again until I'm about 19 weeks unless I'm able to get off work and visit him for a week in Texas. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to visit him while he's there and we can get some cute announcement pictures. DH not being home doesn't mean I can't announce earlier, but I guess I'm weird like that. It'll be interesting how long I keep it a "secret."
Agreed - I hope to keep the pregnancy off of FB in general. But I'm pretty private about what I put on there.

I've been telling family and close friends for the past 7 weeks. I'll tell Facebook after my 12 week appt this Friday, which also happens to be my birthday. Looking forward to it. I'm getting married in sept and plan to say something like "I'm so happy on this birthday knowing that in 29 days I become a wife, and in 6 months we become parents"
We told immediate family right away. DH and I figure that they will be our support system if anything happened. We told great grandparents over the weekend & put it on Facebook on Monday (14 Weeks).

We are telling family this weekend. I will be 14 weeks. FIL is having a birthday party and most of DH's family will be there. DD is going to wear a big sister shirt we got her. I don't plan on actually saying anything right away, just see how long it takes for people to notice what her shirt says. If it takes too long or people start leaving I guess we will have to actually make an announcement.
My family lives in Alaska so we will call or Skype them sometime this weekend too. Probably will announce on facebook after the next ultrasound.
We told family in the middle of the first trimester, and went FB "official" at 12 weeks! We took a picture of us holding a chalkboard that read " Little baby P estimated arrival February 2014" It was pretty cute
