Post birth mammogram

I have a yearly mammogram every September. I didn't want to take time off of work after returning from maternity leave, so I moved this up to next week. It just crossed my mind that this might be too early after giving birth- I had my daughter in early June. Due to crazy circumstances, I did not breastfeed. Does anyone know how soon after birth an accurate mammogram can be obtained? All the guidance I find online is for nursing moms. I am waiting for a call back from my doctor, but he isn't back in the office until Wednesday.

I know that the pregnancy hormones don't bottom out until around 4 months post part um, so it's possible that pregnancy related breast changes could mess up the reading this early. I'm just guessing, though.

I delivered in June and am breast feeding. No one is squishing my boob until I stop. And then a few months.

My doc wanted to make sure I had been done breastfeeding for at least 6 months before doing my mammogram.  I'm sure it varies a little by provider, but I think that was a reasonable amount of time for most of the tissue to return to "normal."

Thanks, ladies. I am just going to go tomorrow and talk to the tech. My doc is fine with me going this early and the facility had no guidance for me other than after I had completed breastfeeding. THats also what I read online. Since I did not breastfeed, it's a bit confusing. Worst case I make a trip to the facility for nothing.
