Multiples

movement question

Hello ladies!
I have a movement question, it seems a little silly but I'm curious.
When you were/are pregnant with your multiples could/can you tell who was moving when you felt movement?
From my ultrasounds I have an idea of where each is but I still can't tell who is who really.

He is laying across the bottom, with his bum over my cervix and she is head down on the right side, so their heads meet on the right. I've always assumed that movement low is him and movement high is her, but that would mean that she is pretty quiet and he is incredibly active. Also from her it's pushing out and waves and rolls, from him punches and kicks.

Possible? Or am I just over thinking this?

Re: movement question

  • I could almost always tell who was who. Baby A was on my right side, and B on my left. Sometimes I'd feel movement towards my middle and it could've been either, but for the most part it was very easy to distinguish them.

  • For the most part, yes, I can tell.  Baby A is head down (into my cervix) and feet going up the left side of me.  Baby B is transverse with her feet going towards the bottom, right side, of my belly.

However, every now and again there is a movement that I'm confused about b/c it doesn't make sense for either baby to be moving there (mostly in the center).

  • Yep. But they are parallel to each other on either side of my belly button. Baby A is on the left and B is on the right so it's been easy to tell who us who.

  • I could always tell in 3rd trimester. By then they had both settled into transverse, one in top of the other, so it was pretty easy to tell. Our B was much more active than A and that is still the case now.

  • I couldn't feel Baby A nearly as much as Baby B. Now that they are getting bigger, it's better. Baby A is head down and I feel most movement in the cervix, bladder, or pubic bone. Twin B is oblique and I get feet, knees, and elbows around my belly button.

  • Thanks ladies! You're responses make me feel a bit better about whose moving around in there and it's nice to hear that I'm not the only one with one quieter than the other.

  • I can pretty much always tell who is who. Baby A is more active though (or positioned that I can feel her more). I love going to ultrasounds when I think they have changed positions and seeing if I am right!

  • Our little girl on the bottom (closest to the cervix) is our wild one. And the little girl on top is our quiet one ;) this has been consistent since the 10 week us when we first saw movement but could feel a thing. In fact the doc had ti give baby b (top) a poke to wake her up (and in both the NT and a/s bottom baby would not sit still!) and I can absolutely feel the difference, I think it's there little personalities coming out already ;)
