2 week old twins...help!

Just curious how everyone put their 2 week old twins down for their nap. Seems like they just want to be held and there is only one of me! I'm exhausted!

  • At that age it was so tough to get them to do the same thing at the same time. What helped was getting to a point where I could feed them at the same time. I would feed them half of their bottle and then swaddle them half way through. By the time they were finished they were pretty groggy and I could often rock them in their bouncy seat or place them in the swing to put them out. Good luck!
  • Bouncer or swing. Swaddling helps too.

  • My boys will generally sleep through their feedings or fall asleep before it's done.  On the off chance they are awake, I usually put them in the boppy, bouncy chair, & recently started using the swing.  We still don't have a lot of awake time yet since they were born at 36 weeks and I would have been 38 weeks today.  The past couple days, Logan has been fussier and wanting to be held more.  I feel bad for Kaden that he doesn't get held as much when that happens.  To be honest there isn't tons of holding them because I have my 3 year old too.

  • I just swaddled them up and put them to bed after about an hour of awake time but my babies were pretty sleepy around that age.

Around 3 months when they were more awake I used the swing for almost every nap (even though I said I wasn't going to get into that habit). So helpful!
