Babies on the Brain

Intro and Question

Hi everyone!  I'm new to the board, and have some questions, but I want to introduce myself first.

I am 27, married for 8 years, have two DS - 7 and 4 years.  Did not have any problems conceiving my first two (both were unplanned).  Neither pregnancy showed up on HPTs, even at 12+ weeks.

DH and I are not TTC, but we are not preventing either.  Did the BD a number of times around the time of ovulation this month.  Had my normal PMS symptoms a bit early (sore BBs, fatigue, a bit of bloating, lower back aches), but didn't think anything of it.  Due for AF 8/7 (my Bday, of all days). Started bleeding 5 days early (8/2) which has NEVER happened to me before. Lasted about a day and a half, then it just stopped.  (my normal AF is about 5 days).  I haven't had any cramping (with my first two, I had a very noticeable cramp around the time of implantation).  I haven't taken a HPT yet and I'm wondering if it's too early for it to show up on a HPT anyway.

Is this IB or something else?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Re: Intro and Question

  • Cycles can change, even if it's never happened before. It's extremely unlikely that you are pregnant if you had bleeding for 2 days unless you have a SCH or something similar. Most likely you have just had an unusual cycle.

  • I'd wait until you think AF is supposed to start and test then. Bodies are strange and sometimes things aren't normal. Good luck.
