Endometrial scratch

At my WTF appt this morning, my RE suggested doing an endometrial scratch before starting IVF #3.  Does anyone have experience with this?

No it's not assisted hatching it's something they do in ute to help w implantation. I haven't done it and don't know much about it but I know several women here (maybe now at paif) have done it. I hope it's just the trick you need, GL

Thanks!  I'll check over on PAIF.

I had it done during my IVF cycle - it's supposed to help with implantation and they can also look at the tissue that was taken out with the scratch.  I'm not going to lie - it really hurt, but it was very brief (2-3 seconds?).  My transfer was cancelled due to OHSS so I can't tell you if it worked for me or not.  We didn't do it for my first FET (BFN), so I'm going to ask to do it with this next FET.

I did it before my current cycle. I don't know if it helped because we made a bunch of other changes, too, but it didn't hurt.

I was also prepared for a lot of pain, but it was really NBD. 5 minutes in the exam room. Not much worse than a pap (and I thought the HSG and Histosono were Horrendously painful!) My insurance covered, too, since they sent it off for biopsy and I have diagnostic lab coverage.

Hmm.. Interesting. I'm enrolled in a natural ivf study and my RE said there were 2 parts and I would have an 'endometrial biopsy' done before transfer if I get a fertilized egg. I wonder if this is part of it.
