I actually have good news to report this week! Baby B had a nice growth spurt and is not technically IUGR for the moment. Still 28% discordance but he's growing and has caught up with A a bit. Other than that, I've gotten very uncomfortable, hoping to keep working for another 4 weeks but it is going to be rough.

Not much to update. 33w1 day today. Just t back from the OB and everything is fine. I've been having contractions for like a week, but OB said its normal for 2nd pregnancy, much less with twins. I go to the MFM on Wednesday.

Went to the OB last week.  My belly is measuring 5 weeks ahead.  The boys are looking good!

Only books I've been reading lately have been baby related...most recent is "twelve hours sleep by twelve weeks old."  My best friends used it with her child, and recommended the techniques.

Here I am at 24 weeks 5 days.

28 weeks tomorrow - I passed my glucose test on Friday - results came back this morning so that's one less thing to worry about. Feeling pretty good, nesting like crazy!! This weekend I finished DS's "big boy" room, and got the walls in the nursery all decorated and DH was able to get both cribs (DS's old one and a new one) and the changing table put together as well. I also organized both bathrooms and ordered some storage stuff so I can attack the playroom and office this weekend.

From last weekend at the beach 27 weeks: sorry if it's huge - first time posting a photo since the changes.

Here we are at 25 weeks! I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow. 

Nothing fun or exciting happening this week.  I'm on SBR for a shortened cervix with funneling (0.98 cm).  The doc isn't too concerned. I had this happen in my first pregnancy, as well.  But I'll be asking for a CL at my appt next week, for sure!  It'd be nice know what my cervix is doing.

28 weeks this week.  Girls looked good at last weeks u/s - both currently head down, so we're hoping baby A stays that way. We went to our all-day childbirth class yesterday at the hospital.  It was really good and informative.  It was especially helpful for DH who has not done any baby book reading and so he's just clueless.  I am very uncomfortable with pelvic and back pain but have started working from home 3 days a week which is a huge help.  Hopefully I can hold out for another 5- 6 weeks like this.

We're 32w/2d today! Girls have been doing well at their appointments. Baby B is still smaller but keeping up. My contractions have gotten stronger and I'm dilated to a 1. Tentative c/s scheduled for August 28th. MFM thinks I should not go past 36 weeks. Praying we can hang on! [IMG]https://i42.tinypic.com/11r5abt.jpg[/IMG]

Hi ladies- I just figured out how to get my ticker back on here and think it will take me another few weeks to figure out how to post a pic, so no pic from me this week!

I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow and am suffering from the normal anxiety of "are the babies ok in there" between appointments.  My last appt. was a normal NT scan at 11w6d and I have an OB appt. this Wednesday with an early glucose screening.  My next MFM isn't until 16 weeks and I can't believe I have to go another 2 weeks without seeing those babies.  I've been having cramping off and on and just stopped spotting after 2 weeks of brown spotting after the ER visit with the SCH.  Hoping everything is going ok and feeling a lack of control.

I just came back from my first appointment with the MFM and our ultrasound.  We found out that our twins are GIRLS....poor DH will be surrounded by ladies ;-)

I am trying not to freak out because Baby B was measuring a week behind and had less fluid than Baby A.  I was told that for now she has "enough" fluid and that it's too soon to gauge a % discordance because the measurements are so small, but my brain is already jumping 12 steps ahead and convinced that we are headed down the road of TTTS.  We'll have another ultrasound in 1 week just to sneak a peak at their fluid levels and bladders. 

I don't have any bump pics on my computer, and I'm stuck in the middle of Book 5 of the Song of Fire and Ice series since I've temporarily abandoned it for twin research!

Update: 20w1d today. I have my regular OB appointment this Friday. Really starting to feel the girls move now. They were jumping on my bladder last night. That was fun. But so glad to feel them now. I'm interested to see if she writes me a note to work from home for the remainder of the pregnancy. She mentioned it to me at my 16 week appointment. I'll mention it to my boss at my mid year review tomorrow.

Hi! I am new here, but I found out last week that I am 7w2d with twins. This is my first pregnancy- it was definitely a shock! I have already learned so much from lurking so I look forward to getting to know you all. Right now my due date is March 23, although I haven't seen a doctor yet. From what I have read online, I likely have mo/di twins, I think. 1 gestational sac, two yolk sacs? 

A little about me- I'm 27 this month, have been married 4.5 years. Live in California, but I'm moving to Colorado sometime during this pregnancy. Congrats to all of you!

Update:  the girls decided to come early last week at almost 32 weeks- Maggie and Carly.  They are currently in the NICU but no serious complications.  My labor was pretty crazy- we hardly made it to the hospital and had to get a police escort through Monday morning traffic!   

 

The last book I read was juggling twins from a recommendation on this board.  Hopefully I'll get back to reading for pleasure in a couple of years:)

I have an appointment for my regular every two weeks ultrasound. At this point just waiting for get my Mat21 test results back from the doctor. I should get them today.

Feeling pretty good but still tired. Also everyone has started saying that I look really pregnant.

Can you add me to the check-in?  I am 13w5d with di/di twins from my 5th IVF.  Due date is 2/5/14 - and we will find out the sexes. 

I had my NT scan last week and everything looked great with both babies.  I might sound crazy saying this - but I really think I am feeling flutters from both of them already but I know it's early still I just don't know what else it could be!   We told everyone - including FB this past week - so it's been really crazy getting all this attention and congrats - especially after years of infertility.

Not a great week. Put on bed rest at 19w5d. Also started on progesterone. Going back for u/s tomorrow to see how we are progressing.

I MADE IT HALF WAY! 20 WEEKS WOO HOO! We found out its two boys for us this week! our 3 year old son is super pumped! Baby B fluid levels are great and kidneys are also looking ok! so looks like they are currently doing well! Baby A has a spot on his heart now so we have that scare but they are monitoring him closely and saying more prayers that now his goes away and is ok. Baby A is 11 oz, baby B is 8 oz and there is only a 6 day difference between the two. Other than that we got our c-section on the books for dec. 11 unless I go into labor on my own before hand. was hoping for a vag delivery but due to displacement of my hips it doesn't seem like it would be the safest option. Daddy and big brother got to feel them kicking for the first time last night it was super exciting! Morning sickness also still going strong and Hip pain is extreamly bad which looks silly because my belly is so small yet i can hardly walk .. My baby bump is super small so not much to show off because im only 20 weeks maybe one of these days I will get a baby belly but heres to the last half of the pregnancy and we will soon (not too soon though!) be holding these babies!

My next OB appt is Wednesday. 34 weeks is looking more and more possible for us since being on procardia(at least in my mind)

My last read was the Crossfire Series - totally addicting!

@KimCousino- sounds like we have the same thing going on! I've got a dynamic cervix, too. It goes from 3 or 4 down to less than a cm. opens and closes as the tech does the ultrasound.

I'm 22 weeks and 4 days with mono-di twin boys. Everything is still going well. I am still debating the glucose test but I am being seen every 2 weeks so they are keeping a close watch on them. I think if there is still a concern after my ultrasound on Wednesday, I will go ahead and get the test. At this point I am feeling them move around quite a bit and wonder what it will be like when they have less room. I think I am getting bigger by the minute but it is just concentrated in my belly. Congrats to all that just got the news of twins. I am still in shock!

Here is a bump pic from last Wednesday, the day before 15 weeks. 

I had my bi-monthly appt today and all looks fantastic. Babies are the same size and have good little hearts.  It kind of looked like the babies were uncomfortable and twisting and one was hitting himself in the face ... it was kind of disturbing actually lol. I am sure all is good, it was just, weird. 

I am feeling GREAT being past the first tri, but not in the discomfort of feeling them yet third tri. Its a strange middle place to be, but I am trying to enjoy it as much as I can!

Hi Ladies this is from today 13weeks sorry for the sexy picture it was the most recent. Feeling a little better from my all day sickness, but cant eat after cooking when i cook i get nauseas... Decided on the Mountain Buggy stroller and carrycots. Now waiting anxiosly to find out the sex of babies!!!!

I'm 19 wks and had my a/s yesterday with my MFM. Both BOYS looked great! No issues to be seen so far. My cervix was nice and long and closed..so that was good to hear. They both weigh about 10 oz. I still feel fairly small, but my belly measures about 25 wks..so I guess I'm not! I also gained 6 lbs in the past 4 wks...iI haven't really gained any before then, so that's good I guess.

I don't have a recent bump pic on my phone, so I'm not posting one right now. As far as books, I'm a sucker for "chick lit" and love anything by Emily Giffin.

Update: 26 weeks! I have been on hospital bedrest for two weeks tomorrow for a shortened cervix and irregular contractions. We did an u/s a couple hours ago. Good news - babies are doing great. Baby boy A is 2 lbs 3 oz and measuring in 70th percentile. Baby girl B is 2 lbs, in the 50th percentile, and has hair! I know those aren't always accurate but it helps to know they are growing accordingly. Bad news - my cervix funnels down to .8cm with pressure, but is thankfully high and tight. My nurse reassures me that it is ok although not great.

QOTW: I haven't done much reading lately and I usually love to read. I really liked Night Circus that I read a couple months ago.

We found out we are having b/g twins! Couldn't be happier! Our daughters name is Adelle but still working on our sons name.
