Running/biking/fitness check-in

Blech.  I know it's been a few weeks and it's totally lame to not do a check in just because I'm in a funk, but it is what it is.  After my fall, it took a few days to heal and I was a bit skittish about tripping again, it got super hot even in the early morning, DH traveled, then I got my period so it was a couple of weeks of lots of excuses not to get up early and run.  But it's beautiful again and I managed to get back out this morning starting the week off right.  No races for me as we are moving in about 3 weeks almost all the way across the country (another good excuse to fall of the running wagon).

How'd everyone else do the last few weeks.  The whole country was in a heat wave so how did you all do with the heat?
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

  • I'm doing C25K, it is going great. I'm on week 6 day 3, realized I'm finally back in shape because I'm no longer short of breath running. Yes!

  • I was in a bit of a slump last week, but yesterday I got up and ran/walked 2.75 miles and had my fastest time so far. Went on a long walk later in the day with the girls so that was fun. I just need to stay motivated from day to day. Some days are a total waste.
That's great!  It's amazing how starting out the day with a run or something productive like that sets the whole day up for staying energized.  Also the walking helps your legs work out the lactic acid and be less sore the next day.

  • I'm starting 30DS today in addition to Gravy's plank/push-up/squat challenge.

You're going to be in killer shape.  30DS is hard, but really effective.  I haven't tried the plank/push-up/squat challenge.  I suck at plank and squat.  "Plank and Squat."  New band name, I called it.

  • I've started 30DS a million times, and never got past the second week. I'm determined to finish this time.

  • I have been on vacation but still ran and under 10 minute miles. I'm feeling really good about my progress.
