Ergo, insert?

I have an ergo but dd is 7 weeks. Others have said you can use a rolled up blanket in place of the infant insert but it did not work well. I think I need to froggy legs, since she cant open them wide enough. Would you order the insert or skip it? Does anyone want to sell theirs?
