favorite sippy cup?

What is your favorite sippy cup? I think I hate all of ours that we've tried -- I like some trainer cups, but I figure she needs higher level cups. Those either leak or they have extra annoying parts (or both). I just need a simple cup that doesn't leak! Grr! She's not a fan of the straw cups either, so I'm just looking for regular sippy cups...

Re: favorite sippy cup?

  • I'm no help. DS uses straws, but I m gonna watch this thread. I want to try some of the spoutless sippy cups, just not sure which one we should try.

We use all Playtex products.  DD2 uses the Sipster cups and DD1 uses the Spill Proof cups.  DD2 has one Playtex straw sippy that she drinks water from, because she will only take milk from the other sippy.

We use these playtex insulated cups.
They do have one rubber piece that you put on the inside but it's easy to do. They haven't leaked for us and I like that all of the playtex cups and lids are interchangeable.

This is DS1.  I figure we need to switch to a regular sippy soon.

We use these too.  DS's have never leaked, but DD seemed to get a bad one that leaks everywhere and one that works fine.

  • We like the Nuby spout cups and straw cups. I love the Tommee Tippee straw cups but they're a pain with all the parts. I am loving that DD is getting the hang of drinking out of a cup without a straw or anything though, but I don't trust her with an open cup just yet. :\">

  • The gerber graduates learning system cup is a good, non leaking, spoutless cup. You can get them in insulated or non insulated at your local Walmart.

  • We used Tommee Tippee straw cups almost exclusively (best straw cups out of the one I used - even if they do have a lot of parts) and have recently (within the last few weeks) started using Tommee Tippee sippy cups.  They still have a couple pieces, but it's NBD in my opinion.  My one complaint is that they seem to leak a little bit more than the straw cups did - I think DD leaves some liquid in the lid part and if she knocks the cup over, sometimes a few drops will come out.

But we now use the sippy cups for milk (also as an effort to regulate her milk intake since she INHALES her milk with a straw) and straw cups for water (mostly just because we have them....she'd be fine with all sippies, but we just don't have enough to do nothing but sippies at the rate we do the dishes).

We use these too; We tried the straw cups for a while, but my daughter prefers these.  We only have a leak problem if we install the rubber piece incorrectly.

  • We use this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/The-First-Years-Princesses-Tinkerbell/dp/B00D45E1EE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1382496865&sr=8-5&keywords=tinkerbell+sippy+cup

It doesn't have any separate parts which I like and it only leaks if it's laying down for a long time and even then only a little. We only use it for traveling and water in bed though because DD drinks out of an open cup otherwise.
