Measuring Behind/Small Belly

I am 27 weeks pregnant today and gained 20 pounds so far... People are constantly making the comment that my belly is"small"Or it's hard to believe I'm having twins. The comments didn't bother until my ultrasound tech started telling me my g/g babies (Baby A almost 2 weeks behind and Baby B a week behind) are measuring behind. Doctor says its nothing to worry about based off my first ultrasounds babies measured inline with my due date and LMP. Anyone else had this experience? Should I get a second opinion?

Re: Measuring Behind/Small Belly

  • I wouldn't worry about a small bump I'm 20 weeks and i have no bump what so ever. I am still buttoning my regular size 3 jeans and have only gained 6 pounds ( partly due to still having morning sickness) this isnt our first baby(ies) either. and with my singleton I showed at a normal rate. my twins are size wise measuring right on time but a few weeks ago was a 3 week size difference. It is common I have come to learn. taking in protein helps, well it did for me anyways :) My babies are low lying so that has something to do with it partly but if your doctor isnt worried I wouldnt be either.
