negative test, 1 week till period

Is it possible to have a negative prego test 1 week before a missed period if you're pregnant? I'm VERY bloated, swollen breasts, dark nipples, lots of discharge, and mild cramping that is different than my period cramps. Thoughts?

That's too early to have a positive test. Typically you should wait until you expect your period to take a test.

I was about to post a very helpful link about how accurate HPTs are at each day in your cycle. But then you starting acting ridiculous.

If you're pregnant enough to have all of those things, you should be pregnant enough to have a positive test.  However, it's possible that it's a coincidence and you are imagining all of those things and will still end up pregnant.   If you got a negative test, as of that moment, you are not pregnant.

If you're experiencing symptoms you' would be able to turn a positive test. If you took a test and it was negative that means you aren't pregnant. Doesn't mean you won't turn out to be pregnant but you certainly are not right now. Wait a week, if you dont get your period then test again.

Are you kidding me? You most likely will not know until a missed period and even then they say you should wait a week and re- take. I think you need to do some reading!

Excuse me? You're the one who needs to do some reading. The OP asked, "Is it possible to have a negative prego test 1 week before a missed period if you're pregnant?"

So yes, it is very likely to get a negative test 1 week before your missed period even if you're cycle results in pregnancy.
