Blood test question

Sorry this may sound like a dumb question... When you go to the doctor and get blood taken to see if you are pregnant, are the results something they do right there while you are in the office? Or do you have to go home and wait a day or two for the results? Thanks!!

Dr did a pee stick test in office. I had to go to a lab for blood work. They put stat on it and I got results that day or the next.

My dr didn't do repeat tests to check for rising numbers (betas) but a one off test to confirm pregnancy.
