Birth control question

specifically speaking "tri-cyclen" I am on this method of BC and i have mentioned will be stopping in January. Some of you have suggested i stop earlier to give my body time to adjust and i have looked up a few things and also from reading my Mayo Clinic book on my kindle, but does it mean like to let the BC hormones leave my body and to have a normal period without BC in my system before trying for a baby? I am sorry if this sounds awfully confusing.

Yes. Some women take awhile to get back to normal length cycles and others want to chart to understand their cycles before trying to conceive. I did not go off early for either kid. There's no wrong answer just whatever you prefer.

Just remember if you choose to stop early to use an altenative form of birth control (usually condoms) until you're ready.

There's no harm in trying right after you go off of BC. But my first cycle off BC was very short, so if I had been trying, I might have missed my FW (if I even ovulated at all during that time). My second cycle off BC was very long, so if I had been trying that cycle, I would have driven myself crazy thinking I might be KU. 

TTC can make you crazy, so it's good to have an idea of what's going on with your cycle before you start. The way to do that is to stop BC and chart your cycle for a couple of months before you really start TTC.

It depends on how fast you want to get pregnant.  If there is no way in hell you are ready to be pregnant until January- don't go off of them until then.

It could take awhile to adjust, it may not.  I have known people who got pg after the 1st cycle and others it took months.   You never know till you off of them.   So, if there is a chance you could conceive when you are not ready- then you need to stay on BC until you are ready and deal with whatever body regulation happens.
