Am I pregnant? Help!!

My got off of my ortho evra birth control patch in May of 2013 and my husband and I were going at it like crazy I never received a period and I kept receiving negative tests. Now August we just came back from vacation and I've felt a lot of nausea and thought hmm I haven't tested since the end of May so I tested and got a positive, I took one again this morning to confirm and my second line is VERY faint. I'm nervous that I got my hopes up for nothing now. Any similar cases? And If so what was your outcome?

Congrats, you're pregnant. Those lines aren't faint.

You can't really determine the outcome of your pregnancy based on the darkness of an HPT. Darkness can vary from test to test depending on how much dye is in each particular test.

Call your dr, tell them you got a +HPT, and expect them to not see you until you're about 8 weeks.

The control lines are faint not the test lines. If you still doubt try a red dye test. I heard those are more accurate than blue.

Go to your doctor and have a blood test to confirm.  You don't need to have an actual visit with your doctor to have the lab work done.

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I took those! It confused the heck out of me ("Does the "one line" matter if its vertical vs horizontal?! AHH!"). The flipping 800 number was closed and I was freaking out, so I sent my wonderful husband out for a dummy-proof test that uses words. I barely finished peeing on it (too much info, sorry) before it said "pregnant".
