Reintro After Two Miscarriages

It has been a while since I have last posted so I thought I would reintroduce myself.  I am 40 (going on 41 in October), DH is 38, and we are still TTC our first. We have had two pregnancies (using Clomid, CBEFM, OPK, Preseed), two losses, and three D&C's since last October.  I have been struggling emotionally with our two losses and am coming to terms that if our next pregnancy (I am hopeful we will conceive again) results in another loss that our road will come to an end.   

Our RE did all of the genetic karyotyping tests (both of us...we have great coverage), among all of the other blood work to see what might be causing our losses, and everything came back normal.  RE says that he is hopeful we will be able to conceive again since we don't seem to have a problem getting pregnant, just staying pregnant.  I had a saline u/s yesterday and everything looks great.  I will start Clomid 100mg next month and we are so hopeful our next bean will stick.

M/c #2 at 7w; D&C on 5/30, then repeat D&C on 7/1.  Saline u/s on 8/2, uterus looks great!  Will start TTC in 09/13 w/ Clomid 100mg. Surprise natural BFP on 8/25!!! Beta #1=95, #2=182, #3=404!  EDD 5/4/13...Grow baby grow!

    So sorry to hear of your losses. I had my fx for you with all your beta hell.

    Sorry for your losses. I have also experienced 2 devastating losses in 2 months and am trying to gear myself up to try again. It's tough, I keep thinking of the dreaded 3rd loss.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Thank you so much ladies for welcoming me again and for remembering me too.  And I am so sorry that any of us have had to deal with a loss, let alone recurrent ones.  Just so freaking unfair.

    This last loss was really tough on me with going through beta hell, to thinking the pregnancy was ectopic, to finding out it wasn't, to being told by our RE after he found the sac and fetal pole "I don't have any reason to believe this won't be a viable pregnancy", to finding out there was no heartbeat, to needing not one but TWO D&C's b/c the first one did not remove all of the pregnancy tissue, to hemorrhaging during the second D&C b/c the tissue had attached itself to an artery, to being so doped up on all kinds of medications and being so absolutely sick that I thought my end was coming, to learning there is nothing to be done about our two losses, and to preparing ourselves for our next pregnancy to only lose it again.  I am really trying hard to remain focused, optimistic, and hopeful, but I am expecting a bad outcome yet again :(

    I'm so sorry. I wish you had more answers than what you have gotten. I wish I had some advice but I haven't been though any of that. Good luck. Incidentally I am 40 and my h is 38 too.
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

    I'm so glad to see you reemerge!  I have suffered 3 consecutive losses and can understand beta hell.  After the third loss I had a wonderful daughter!  Stay strong.  ANything is possible!  Welcome back!

    I'm very, very sorry for your losses, and for the extra hell of multiple D+C's (I can relate).  I will be thinking positive thoughts for you.
    Me-42 DH-43 TTC #1 since 3/11
    HSG 7/11 showed possible blockage
    8/11 BFP, then early m/c  (Natural)
    9/11 blood tests reveal Factor V Leiden (heterozygous)
    11/11 Hysteroscopy revealed uterine septum, which was repaired
    12/11 1st round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN
    1/12 2nd round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN 
    2/12 Repeat HSG=All clear 
    2/12 IUI with injectables #1=BFN

    I am so very sorry for your losses.  I have been there as well and it was the lowest time of my life.  DH and I were also tested and like you, there was nothing wrong found with either of us.  
    The third time was the charm for us and resulted in our first daughter.  
    Talk to your RE about doing things that might help and won't hurt.  For us, baby aspirin seems to do wonders.  All three of my successes have had baby aspirin in common and all four of my losses lacked the baby aspirin.  I also use progesterone when TTC which is also something that doesn't hurt.  
    I wish you the best and hope you find peace from the grief soon.

    Oh I am so sorry to see you back her :( I am also terribly sorry to hear about your losses,be kind to yourself, as you have said its been emotionally, mentally and physically hard journey for you.

    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    Ladies,

    I am absolutely overwhelmed with your support and kindness.  It means so much to have a safe place to talk with others who understand just how difficult the journey to have a child is without judgement.  I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you and hope that we all get our happy ending soon.

    DawnHope, Thank you for your thoughts....I am so very sorry for your losses too.  You have had a difficult journey and am saddened that your last IVF resulted in another loss- just so damn cruel and unfair.  I will be thinking positive thoughts for you as well.

    Rcbuko, Thank you for sharing your journey....I am so encouraged to read about the use of baby aspirin and your take home babies :).  I have read about many ladies taking baby aspirin after they conceive and who experienced prior losses, and the aspirin worked for them as well.  I don't understand why our RE has not mentioned anything about this, but I certainly plan to explore this further.  

    Did you take the aspirin after you got your BFP, or at what point did you start?  And what doseage?  Fortunately, I have not had a problem with maintaining high progesterone levels after conception (naturally) so I don't know if taking supplements would be helpful or not.

    1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
    2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
    3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
    August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.
