My scary body

DH got me a Miraclesuit swim suit for my birthday, and it is AMAZING.  It really holds in my PP belly and fits well and looks great.  Plus, it was a really super thoughtful gift on his part, because I haven't had a bathing suit that fits me in over two years.  My parents got a pool last summer, and DD is like a little fish, so we spend a ton of time at the pool. 

Here's the scary part...we went back to Macy's so that I could try on a smaller sized suit.  When I was getting changing in the dressing room, I glanced over at the full length mirror.  O.M.G., it was a scary sight.  I know I'm only six weeks PP, but holy hell, there was a lot of extra skin that wasn't there before.  I'm seriously not looking in a full length mirror again for at least six months!  In the meantime, I need to get to working out!

That's the thing!!  It was completely accidental, I hadn't given it even a fleeting thought beforehand....and then there it was right in front of me.  Talk about scary!  LOL!

Oh goodness, don't do that to yourself! When I change my clothes, I hide from mirrors like a 7th grade girl in a gym class locker room hiding from classmates.

I hate the fact that there are mirrors everywhere in my new bathroom - there's nowhere for me to hide.

Also, someone needs to tell me more about those Miracle Swim Suits.

It is so awesome.  It holds everything in, without cutting off your circulation or your ability to breathe.  They are very pricey (to me, at least), but mine was on clearance.  Because, ya know, the summer is already over mid way through July  8-|  

Mine was originally $158, but DH got it for just $58 on sale.  That is still a little pricey to me, but considering I haven't bought a swim suit in over 4 years, NBD.

Well, it's no more expensive than buying a bunch of cheaper suits and never wearing them because they don't actually fit, right?

I am so there, dd1 grabbed a fist full of my extra belly skin the other day and proclaimed it a boobie. I almost died.

I feel ya. I'm scared the extra skin will just be more flabby as I lose more weight.
