Missing Our July Sparkler BFP#1-11/12/12, MMC 1/16/13-baby stopped growing @ 9wks, found out at 13wks, D&E 1/25/13 BFP#2-4/23/13 EDD-01/02/14 baby BOY born 12/31/13 Michael Cameron
Everything I read says I've gained "too much" - my doctor hasn't said anything (he knows I'm really sensitive about my weight, as I gained a lot after my two losses). But it's on my list to ask him and I am trying to be more active (it's been hard when I've been so sick and exhausted)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
10-15 lbs (depending on water weight). It's totally weird because I haven't been eating any differently than pre pregnancy and my portion sizes haven't increased either. Previous to pregnancy, I was still losing weight. Ah well.
3. 3 lbs as of my last appt on 7/23 (14 wks,3days)
In the last week I've decided not to weigh myself between appts (or maybe I will every other week at most). It really screws with my head. This is my final pregnancy and seeing the #s on the scale go up really makes me unhappy, and I don't want to be unhappy. I want to enjoy my last pregnancy. I know how to eat healthy and balanced; I know what I should be eating and how much water to drink. I'm going to give this a go and see how I do not obsessing over a number on the scale that is inevitably going to just keep getting bigger.

3. How many pounds have you gained? 5 lb, I'm pretty pleased with this so far. The pregnancy week by week book has recommended guidelines for weight gain after 17 weeks in case you are curious if you are in their range.
Whattttt????
Baby no 1.
18 weeks
10 lbs.
I thought this was normal???!!!!
It is completely normal. I'm at 17 weeks and I'm up 8 lbs. with #1. The doc is very happy with that for me (and so am I - yay for baby bumps!), so unless your doc is worried, you should be good! There is a pretty wide range that is "normal" at this stage, especially depending on beginning weight and how sick someone might have been during the first tri.
1. This is our first 2. I'm 15w3d 3. At my appointment last week I was down 2 lbs
dx with anovulatory PCOS 2005

a few rounds of clomid and femara... no response.
injectables/IUI 12/12... BFN
Feb 13 IVF cycle converted down to IUI due to low follicle response... BFFN
one last IVF attempt April/May 2013: 19 retrieved. 10 fertilized. 2 transferred in a 3dt. 4 frosties... BFP!!
EDD: 1/21/14... Induced early at 36+6. Our little girl was born 12/30/13
Baby #1 14 weeks 5 days Up 3-4 lbs depending on time of day Pretty sure most of that is my new pregnancy wonder boobs!
My dr is fine with this gain so far. I was overweight to begin with and he did say he only wanted me to gain 20-25 lbs during the pregnancy. Seeing any gain is hard for me. I worked really hard over the last year to lose about 30lbs.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Wow... I'm not feeling so great about my # either now!
1. Baby #1
2. 15 Weeks
3. +5 sometimes 6lbs
It was inevitable for me. I complete changed my workout routine to something way less intense. I feel like gaining weight immediately was inevitable. That's what I'm telling myself at least... couldn't be the pop tarts I now eat daily. No way.
I'm actually suprised at how low so many people's weight gain numbers are. BUT ladies who are gaining - keep in mind, you don't know anything about the "reasons" behind the weight gain (or lack there of). Perhaps the person started overweight and is only "supposed" to gain 15 pounds their whole pregnancy? Or maybe they had/have bad m/s and can't keep anything down? Honestly, if your doctors/midwives aren't worried, don't worry about it!
For those of you stressing about their weight gain - It sounds to me like all the numbers on here are completely healthy. I know weight is a sensitive issue, and it's very difficult to make a sudden change to the mindset most of us have that we shouldn't ever gain weight. We spend so much time worrying about where we fall compared to other people, but that's not going to get you anywhere. Comparing your own experience to someone else's without knowing everything about their history is just torturing yourself, and it's not going to help you enjoy your own experience. It makes me so sad to see people being so hard on themselves about weight gain that is perfectly healthy for them and their babies. STOP BEATING YOURSELVES UP! %-(
