Anyone here have RPL?

So given that I've now been officially diagnosed with recurrent pregnancy loss I've been looking into what needs to be done next and what my insurance covers. I'm getting RPL testing done so I know my plan of action will depend on those results, but in lurking on some other posts it seems that a lot of people do iuis or ivf, and I'm just wondering if that's something that's usually done for those who get pregnant but can't...stay pregnant. Like I said, I guess it depends if they find anything in my tests to explain my miscarriages but I'm just curious to hear what other people with RPL have experienced. Thanks!

Re: Anyone here have RPL?

  • I've had 6 losses, and haven't done iui's or ivf.  After more tests than I can remember and coming up empty for years and doctors telling me to do this and that 'because it can't hurt,' we're now going forward with an assumption that the losses are due to severe vitamin deficiencies caused by Celiac's disease.  But even then, it's not for sure.  I was gluten free with my most recent pregnancy and still had a m/c, but I'm going to blame that on my body just not being ready.

Everyone is different, though.  After you get your RPL test results back it will give you a much better idea of what course of action is best suited to help you.
Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

Thanks. I figured I just need to wait and see if the test results come back but I started researching stuff last night so I just thought I'd ask! I'm so sorry for all your losses.
