We have been sleep training with the Ferber Method for a month now. Does it ever get to a point where you put baby down and she doesn't cry at all before going to sleep? If so, how long?
We always had spurts of crying. Some days there were none and other days 5 minutes or so. After a few days I only had to intervene around 2 am for a feed. I sleep trained DD#1 at 9 months though.
I think there's always going to be some protest from babies when it comes to going to sleep. We've been doing Ferber for a couple of weeks now. I've had one night with no crying, and the average seems to be only a couple of minutes.

Pretty much this. It's been months since we did Ferber. For a while, he'd go down with zero crying. Then he went on a stretch he'd protest cry for 5 mins or so. Now separation anxiety has kicked into high gear, and he'd cry for longer.
Naps are similar. When we first did nap training, DS would cry at naps, and it took weeks if not months before he stopped crying at naps. Now he's started crying again due to separation anxiety.

How long does your LO cry for? We did Ferber with DD about a month or so ago and she still sometimes cries. Never for very long though. Only maybe 5 minutes at most and it's not really bad crying.
My Lo cried at night for maybe 3 nights and hasn't cried since, she just rolls around for 20 minutes sometimes...she's an extremely happy baby though so I think that helped. She still cries for naps probably 50% of the time but never more than 5-10 minutes. We started at 4.5 months and she's now 6 months.
Some babies will always cry some before falling asleep but I think as long as it is getting better than that's the point. I think the main thing is to just keep at it. We don't have to do checks anymore. She cries at first but stops within a couple minutes. I can see her on the monitor and she will crawl around, look, etc. but is asleep within 15 minutes so it's definitely a big success for us.
My daughter was doing awesome, then she started teething and got her first tooth, then learned to crawl and pull her self to a standing position and so now she cries and stands up and screams until we wait the appropriate amount of time as per the book for that night and then go in and check on her and lay her back down. Then she does it again. If she wakes up, she stands and screams until it is time for us to go in. One night she fell and hit her head. It's heart breaking. Not sure what to do. It was working really well but now we hit a bump in the road. Any suggestions for the standing thing?!?
