Look at my picture. I am a size 5, so I am decently thin. Am I not a LARGE 9 weeks? I am sure its not a baby and I haven't gained weight...I dont know what the deal is....
The only thing I can think is it has something to do with having twins to begin with and only one stuck...?
I look like I ate a really large steak dinner. My pants don't fit and I have started wearing maternity jeans. They are seriously the best thing EVER. I think ALL women should wear them!?
I bought a skirt yesterday - stretchy - and I look like I have something going on in the pouch department which if I were a hollywood celeb the paparazzi would DEFINITELY be spreading the rumour that I was knocked up!
But my belly button is still deep as ever though I'm losing my tiny waist and thickening up.?
Don't worry about the "snarky ones". They've got nothing better to do than make people look silly for asking reasonable questions. I'm only 7 weeks along. No showing, but definitely bloat! All of my nice work pants are out of the questions now. I'm going to have to buy a bella band soon!
Yeah, you're all bloated. Except for the one of you that was 20-something weeks. Fairly certain you're right on about the "showing" business. Good for you! Why are you here on 1st tri again?
The wonderfully encouraging, informative, helpful replies here amaze me!
We get it - you're farther along so you know *everything*; geezus it's a message board where women gather to ask questions & compare similarities. WOW.

Wait. I thought being farther alone, you DO know everything? Or at least more than the newbs... ? What the hell is the point of being farther along if you haven't gained a little more knowledge or experience?
Well to give my two cents, with my first baby I didn't start showing until after 20 some weeks, with me next two pregnancies I didn't get far along enough to start showing (miscarry at 10 weeks and at 6 weeks). This baby is about 8 weeks and I know I'm showing something...I gained weight at first (I coin it to emotional eating from my two losses honestly).
I'm not the smallest person either. So either it be bloat or baby, I can't stand any pressure on my belly so I'm wearing the materninty pants already... All I know is that I'm gonna be HUGE!!!!!
Let me helpfully answer your question here. When I was 9 weeks, I looked like I was showing but was not....it was all bloat....bad bloat. Now I am finally showing...but I was a zero dress size to begin with so just about anything shows super fast...and I've gained "maternal fat stores"...love that term....amounting to about 5 lbs in tummy fat. I think about 15 weeks is the norm to start showing.

I started with twins and I fit into my size 4 's till 16 1/2 weeks so it s not that..Its bloat?
i'm 6 1/2 weeks, no weight gain as of yet. my dr is saying 20-25 lbs is the recommended weight gain...this is my first pregnancy and that just sounds like a lot to me! but i know any weight gained is for the good and health of the baby. for now, i'm just trying to eat as well as possible and i'm starting an exercise program tomorrow (now that i have the ok from the dr)
Re: has anyone started showing yet

I never understand why people can get so snarky on this board!
I am ten weeks and definitely showing but it's my second pregnancy so that's to be expected.
This thread is cracking me up.
