I am curious as to what products, devices, homemade do-hickies help make your life easier.

My son is 18 months, g-tube dependant, no mobility, low muscle tone. I have trouble taking him shopping because he flops over in the cart and cries. I have trouble at restaurants because he gets tired in the high chair after a short period of time. He is getting heavy, but won't tolerate a baby carrier such as the Ergo.

I would love to hear about anything that makes your life easier!

Have you tried any other baby carriers?  We can't use things like the Ergo either because they spread the boys hips too far apart.  So we rely on a ring sling or the Beco Gemini, you can fold in the flaps to make a narrow base.  The Ring sling is amazing because it really wraps around you and the child and is super supportive.  

My boys have extremely high tone so these may not work for you.

at restaurants we use this

(ours is an older model and gray) but it's got such deep sides that there isn't really any room to slump.  DS2 is 14 months and doesn't sit yet and yet is completely supported in this seat.  

A good stroller is also part of our musthaves.  When DS1 was a baby I LOVED the Kolcraft Contours.  At the time it was the only affordable rear facing stroller.  DS1 would not tolerate any stroller until we found this one and that you can turn the seat around to face you.  

We used this A lot.  It helped with the boys learning to hold a bottle, or just give them a new perspective since it sits much more upright than a traditional bouncer seat.

Also someone here suggested the Snuggin Go years ago for me for DS1.  It is AMAZING!!! Both my boys have outgrown it now but I would imagine it would help you immensely with any "flopping".
