I'm not sure how much of a UO this is outside of Marketing/Advertising companies, but when I get random ass junk email that has an "Unsubscribe" button, I'd also like to see an "I never flucking Subscribed to begin with" button.

I'm watching the news and they are talking about how a museum that displays crime related items wants to display Trayvon Martin's hoodie once it is no longer needed for the police investigation.

The clothing a child was wearing when he was murdered is not something I'd want to see when visiting a museum and I don't think it belongs there. Other items there include, for example, handcuffs used in some famous arrests. Those I feel are appropriate museum items, but not his hoodie. Also, I think his parents should have a say in what happens to it.

But seriously, i only got spanked as a kid when i did something seriously bad. Or i got swatted on the butt one time if i wasnt listening. I dont believe in whipping your kid with a weapon.

But swatting there butt isnt going to inflict damage on your kid. So yeah flame away.

I wish openly breast feeding in public wasn't side eyed or seen as immodest. It's feeding your child, not seducing someone with your breast.

Grey's Anatomy sucks anymore. I loved it up until about 5 years ago and then when they killed off George, I was done.  The storyline just got worse and worse.

I also hate that Christina is so damn selfish and they tied this whole no kids to her thing. She is one of my favorite surgeons and I love her story line, just not that part of it.

There is a "Sort By" pull down menu on the right side of the screen, it's right under two other pull down menus. If you select "Original Post Date" you should be all set, I selected it once and haven't had to again.

I agree. I still watch it though because once I get that invested in a show, I tend to go down with the ship -- even if it sucks.

I dislike what's happened to our BMB. I feel like I don't know anyone anymore! It's been overtaken by strangers. I feel myself getting more annoyed daily and hardly open posts or comment anymore, unless I know the name. Boo!

This may be more of a confession, but what the hey

After my interview tomorrow, we will be kicking Operation Come Out Baby into gear. I'm not talking anything crazy, but definitely upping DTD, walking, etc. We found out I'm GBS+ which already means an IV for labor. If I end up getting induced on top of that, I can pretty much kiss my med free birth plan goodbye

I agree with you. Sometimes I purposely stay away from the board because I find myself getting pissy with the stupidity and driveby posts. This morning is no exception.

I could not get into Orange Is The New Black. There are way too many lesbian-related scenes for my personal liking. Call me a homophobe if you want, but I really don't enjoy watching girls make out.

I'm with @Jill9288. It is officially August and after this morning's appointment with the pediatrician there is nothing left to get done before baby so I'm completely on board with Operation Come Out Baby. Daddy had a LONG talk with him/her this morning about it. Now I have an OB appointment in an hour where I'm hoping enough progress has been made for them to 'clean out things' to help get things going. Fingers crossed we have a baby this weekend!

Not unpopular with me. I'm also GBS pos and due today. My induction is now scheduled for August 8th and I feel the med free plan slipping away. Guess who is eating pineapple while bouncing on a birthing ball today? haha

@Jill9288 and @Ikobriant have you looked into accupuncture? I havent completed my research yet but im thinking of getting treatments as soon as i hit 40 weeks if theres no babe yet. My doc wants to induce me at 41 weeks for no other reason than to get her out and id like to try more "natural" methods first. A women in my birthing class was an acupuncturist and was getting treatments herself as well.

Yes! Yesterday I did a double take because I saw a birth announcement post with my very soon to be DS' name in the headline.....nobody here has ever mentioned considering that name before and I was kinda like "who the F is this?".

I was going to say, maybe it's cause alot of our regs are having their babies already. Or it could be that the overwhelming number of new people are just drowning the regs' posts. So, we don't notice them as much. I don't get it either.

I agree my UO was actually going to be similar. I know the hatred of drive bys has already been mentioned, but I get even more annoyed when people still comment! drive bys and people who try to participate for a week prior to birth JUST so they can post their birth announcement don't deserve responses! (I sound like a brat I know)

@Sanguar, Haven't you been around forever? I'm tired of the drive by posters though, I feel like we should make a siggy sticker for the regs and semi active peeps, just to regain some of the feel for the board.

I honestly HATE beaded board!!! Sure it looks great in perfect houses and worlds but this stuff is a pain in the @$$!! And when it's in a house that's 112 years old and its probably as old as the house it just sucks. Very hard to clean, paint, and hang stuff on.

That would be so helpful! I am having so much trouble remember if someone is a reg or not, especially the people without signatures.

I mean the people who have not posted for months and come on here to post their birth story. Or the ones who just started posting like this week because they know they are about to have their LO, and they want to share their birth story. AND they never reply to any posts.

If you became active later that is ok!! I remember you. The fact that you are reading the UO thread and posting means something too!!

Awesome idea, but I'll bet we will all have our babies by the time the bump actually let's us change our siggy's, lol. I tried to change my avatar and siggy after the update (even though I'm mostly mobile), and it didn't look like anything I did took. One day...

Oh gosh, so this.  Ours has only been in for about 20 years, but it drives me batty.  It's right next to the dishwasher (well it was until we ripped it out last weekend) and constantly catches coffee, juice, etc.   Ew.



This crap is in EVERY room in the house... And we bought the house from the son of a lady that passed ad had lived here. Needless to say the house was sooo beyond nasty and dirty. We used scrub brushes on the kitchen walls and have been working on fixing the house up. Next house will not have this stuff in it for sure. Never again.

no beaded board at our house but we had the same problem you listed in bold when we bought our house. We bought it as a short sale and it was FILTHY. We replaced all of the floors and literally had to scrub the walls with lysol and then seal them before we could even paint. I spent an entire day vacuuming out the cabinets and sanitizing them. It was worth it but SUCH A PAIN!

I haven't, but would be willing to try. I know family history doesn't always play in, but in my case, my OB thinks it could; Mom and sisters have all gone on or before due dates, never late, so we'll see!
