High-Risk Pregnancy

Low AF

Hello! I have been dx w/ low AF. Measuring at a 6...average at my gestation is 13ish. I am 37 weeks.

OB says she's not concerned until it gets below a 5. Till then baths, rest, and lots of water.

If you've been dx w/ oligo, how much fluids did you drink a day? Yesterday I had about 4L or 1gal of fluids. Too much? Too little?

OB didn't give me a guide, she just said "alot." I feel like a gallon of fluids is a heckuva lot!!

Re: Low AF

  • Mine has been moderate oligo ever since we moved from San Diego to Puerto Vallarta. Moderate is between 5-10. Like you, my OB and peri aren't worried unless it drops below 5, which it hasn't. It's been this way for a good 6+ weeks, my edd is tomorrow, and baby is fine (scoring 10/10 on his BPPs each week). You want to drink a minimum of 2.5 liters per day, rest, and stay in the ac if you're someplace hot. I found this article very helpful:

  • Thank you. Great article. And bonus fist pumps for an actual article and not someone's blog page or opinion. I appreciate it!
OB will scan at next appt on Mon but no BPP or NST yet.
