High-Risk Pregnancy

Intro-hey y'all! :)

I am pregnant with my 4th, edd march 5...but ob says we are trying to get me to 35 weeks without me stroking out or going into kidney failure. *sigh* i have SVT, chronic hypertension that is only partially controlled on lebatalol (Bp is steady at 148/90-ish, with spikes throughout the day) familial mediterranean fever, and chronic kidney issues (prob caused by fmf, worsened by bp). My girls are all older...12, 9, and almost 6. :) um..I think that's it? Hey!

  • Oh! And I am weekly with my ob, twice a trimester with mfh, monthly ultrasounds and bloodwork.

  • Hi fuca.
You certainly got alot going on. From what I know fmf is rare, both your parents have it as well? Did it pass to your other children? This sounds like it will make it harder for you to discern between regular pregnancy issues or prior health issues. I wish you and LO the best and certainly keep posting!

Thanks for the well wishes! We believe my father is a carrier, his father and brother have it, but he is symptom free. My mother has all of the symptoms but was never formally diagnosed, and the same for her mother, Who was adopted. It is VERY rare...lucky us! My oldest and youngest have already begun showing symptoms :(
  • Woah, you're a busy momma!   Sorry you're here, but welcome

  • It really is a bummer you have to go thru all this but you and your doctor seem very aware of all going on and that's great! Sorry your kids may have fmf as well.
  • Thank you all...I was wondering if there is anyone here dealing with my issues? Looking for someone I can relate to. :)
