ZAnder vs. ZAUnder...lol.

FFS.

My sister and I had a spa day yesterday. The girl giving ups our pedis was chatting us up. She was sweet and we started talking names.

Turns out girl is all p*ssed because daycare lady keeps getting her son's name wrong. It's Z-AU-nder, not Z -aa-nder.  She keeps going on and on like this should be an entirely normal name.

We finally ask, Why Zaunder?

She says, "Well Zander was just too popular. We wanted something different!"

LOL..FFS..I guess she got it.

I get can get on board with Zander/Xander..I actually quite like it, but huge eyes to Zaunder for sure.

What she actually meant by popular was that she'd heard of it before and she needed a name so unique that she hadn't even heard of it, which is why she made one up.  8-|

I can't comprehend why people are so befuddled when others don't understand/can't spell/can't pronounce their made up name.
