Any NorCal Kaiser patients?

Hi! I'm moving from Orange County to NorCal next week and I'm trying to find a new doctor with Kaiser. We are going to be living near San Mateo, and I'm not at all familiar with the facilities and offices up there. Any advice would be so appreciated! Also, would you suggest an MD or NP, and why? Thank you ladies!

I'm in the Bay Area w/Kaiser, but I go to the Kaiser in Oakland.  The best bet is to look into the Dr's profiles and see if he/she fits your need/preferences + if they are accepting new patients.  Kaiser have a very user-friendly website.  That is how I found my family dr, obgyn and my LO's pedi.

I'm at Kaiser in SF so not super familiar with further down the peninsula. However, I have heard particularly good things about the maternity team at the Redwood City facility, which includes a ton of midwives. I also second the comment above about checking out profiles. I've ended up staying with the NP we first saw because she was with us in some challenging moments and over the first few months, we bonded with her. She's been great, very warm and responsive. I've seen my regular OB only twice for annual checkups prior to this and while she was professional, things felt very process-oriented rather than kind. I prefer my NP...

I just moved to South San Fran from San Mateo and I have been going to Kaiser Redwood City throughout my pregnancy (I am 30 weeks).  Redwood City would be your closest option.  I really like it.  My OBGYN is Cheryl Padin, she is great.  I also see many of the midwives, who will most likely deliver my baby.  Good luck!

I go to the Kaiser medical offices in San Mateo.  My doctor is Diana Douglass.  I've only seen her once so far, but she seems good. ?  I think the closest hospital is in Redwood City though. Good luck.
