Cremation today

In about an hour I am leaving to go witness the cremation of my precious daughter, Hope Olivia.  I don't know how I am going to react to this.  DH thought it was important to see the actual cremation so he knows that the ashes we get our hers.  I am so sad.  We will bury her on 8/17 when we go back to DH's hometown in the midwest so that she can be buried with family.

Also, posted something similar on baby center forum.  Are you guys on bbc too?  Just wondering.

I am so very sorry that you have to go through this. It is very hard to witness the finality of a cremation. T&Ps for strength. Lean on your DH.

Thanks everyone.  Just got back and it was hard.  DH looked to make sure that it was our Hope that was being cremated.  We then carried her box to the oven, it was heartbreaking, but we got through it.  I also think it helps to put some closure on it.  I am sure the burial will be hard too.
