Does anyone cosleep on a memory foam bed? I love my bed but I feel like its harder to move around on than a normal bed.
Also, did anyone have an adjustment to not using blankets or just using them waist high. I'm a cover hog usually so this might be the reason we don't cosleep.
I'd love to hear about adjustments you had when you first started to cosleep.
Re: Cosleeping questions
MH and I use separate blankets now because he likes to be covered head to toe and we used to play tug or war at night over covers and now we have a spot blanket free for LO.
At first, I was so afraid of one of us hurting him, but neither of us move much while asleep and with him sleeping next to me, I'm so in tune with him that we both sleep better. (He was a premie and did the "catch-up breathing" and it would scare the bejeezus out of me when I heard him in his pnp doing that, so we moved him to bed with us to keep an eye on him and it pretty much stopped. I think he was able to listen to us breathing and it helped him to regulate his.)

Right now, sleeping with a light blanket up to my waist is fine because it's 4000 degrees in GA. I'm interested to see how it'll be when it cools off a little, though.
The hardest part for me was getting used to sleeping in my side all night. For MH, it was getting used to hearing DD snort all night.
No memory foam here, but it was an adjustment to only having a blanket around my waist. It was a little tough in the winter (though I'm in Texas, so mild winters) since I usually sleep in a cami for easier nursing access. If I got cold, I'd usually just make DH get up and turn the heat up.
For DH, the big adjustment has been getting used to having less room to sleep - baby is a bed hog now (not so much for the first few months, but now that he's older, he sometimes spreads out).
For getting cold, I recommend taking an old long-sleeved t-shirt, cutting it down the middle, so it goes on more like a jacket. Easy access for nursing, but gives you arm, back and, when not nursing, front coverage.
