What's the next step? Need advice!!

We have casually introduced the potty to DD for months. She knows what it's for, loves to sit on it, etc. I got her two books about PT that we read when she sits on her potty. A couple days ago she said "poo poo, mama" and started to poop in her diaper. I said "potty!", ran her to the bathroom pulled her diaper off and she finished in the potty. I made a huge deal of it and she was really excited. The same thing happened the next day, except when she told me she was pooping I asked her if she wanted to go to the potty and she said yes. She pooped and peed in it and was again very excited. Now when I say mommy has to pee pee she says "me too" and asks me to take her diaper off, she sits on the potty but doesn't go and asks me to put her diaper back on. I tell her good try. I take this all as showing interest, however, she constantly soaks diapers and she doesn't mind if she has poop or pee in her diaper. What should my next step be for PT. should I just continue asking her and letting her try? Should I put panties on her and ditch diapers during the day? Wait longer to officially start? Any advice would be great. Thanks!
