What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle?

QOTW: What is the best/worst gift you have ever given/received?

TTA cycle 1, cd9. I feel like I'm about ready to O, cm and whatnot, but since I'm not temping I'm not positive. On that note I really should start temping.

Vent: I have a feeling my cycles are going to go back to being short, 21-26 days. I know it's not a huge deal but there is no rhyme or reason to the length. Pre kids, even post Ollie, my cycles were 27/28 days. Ever since G and especially post BF, they are shorter and within a 5 day window. Do you know if short cycles can lead to ttc issues?

Best gift? DH proposed on Christmas Eve, that was part of my gift.

Worst gift? Also a Christmas present from DH. The year before he proposed he gave me a huge present with lots of little ones all wrapped inside one another. The last box was a ring box. Inside the ring box? A flash drive. I was pissed to say the least. Not a bad gift but you don't get a girls hopes up like that.

  What cycle are you in and where are you at in your cycle? I think cycle 9. CD 8. Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? This is only my third month temping.the first month it had O at CD 14 and then last month at 19 based on temp. I was more consistent with temping last month but I know based on other signs O was CD 14 not 19. So now I wonder why am I even temping. I did not temp with DD so this is still new. QOTW: What is the best/worst gift you have ever given/received? Most of my worst gifts are from my MIL whom I love. She actually buys DH the worst gifts. Anywany one year we got a huge "pocket watch." it it probubly 8 inches across. It is not a mantle clock, no stand, and to heavy to hang on the wall. So weird. We kept it if we ever need a white elephant gift.

Do you have a question, brag or vent to share with the group this week? I just got back from the RE and I feel disappointed.  I really liked my OB and I know she has no knowledge with anything more than OB, she just made me feel more comfortable.  All he did was ask how I was reacting to the Metormin he prescribed me (everything seems fine to me), and said I should lose 25lbs.  Then he says try Metformin for the next couple months, then we'll move onto Clomid.  I was literally there and back and stopped at subway within my hour lunch break.

QOTW: What is the best/worst gift you have ever given/received? Mine is similar to serendipity - best was my engagement ring from DH (he proposed on my birthday), and the worst was when I was so sure he was going to propose, he handed me a tiffany box that was square, which held a necklace.  I wanted to cry.

Five Months - Are you temping at the same time every day?  Would you mind sharing your chart?  I am starting on my 4th cycle charting and my 3rd cycle finally was making sense to me.  I think it takes a couple cycles to get familiar with everything.

I think short cycles are better for TTC (more tries per year!), but it's a problem if the luteal phase is too short. What CD are you ovulating?

I "think" between cd9-12, just depends on how long that cycle is. Like I said, I don't temp so I'm basing if off of when AF shows up, CM, and ovary type cramping <There's an actual term for that I think.

Luteal phase is the time between O and AF, right? That I think I'm good with.

I thought I read somewhere that if you O too early then you aren't releasing a mature egg and that could cause problems too.

Having the mc has made me very aware of what my body is doing. I'm probably way over thinking but sometimes it's hard not to.

I'm not sure about the shorter cycles, mine tend to be long which is frustrating.  I hope it doesn't cause you any issues when you are ready to TTC

@mrskelly731 The second month I actually temped more at the same time than the month before and chart made so much less sense. I do not know how to share my chart on an IPad. I actually do not know how to share it at all, but at the moment I am on an IPad.

1. Month 8. I haven't posted in here for a few months though.
2. Work has been really stressful lately, but too much to go into here. Brag is J is on his way to being PT'd!
3. Most recent worst gift was last year my mom got me a pretzel maker for Christmas. I was on weight watchers at the time, which makes it even worse. But even if I wasn't dieting, the thing was a piece of crap.
Best gift was,my kindle. DH completely surprised me with it.

as long as your luteal phase is 12 days long you are good.  also, that doesnt sound too crazy for O, but i'd check with your doc just in case.  they can do hormone tests to make sure that your egg is mature when it is dropping.

I'm a day late for check in because I'm on holiday at the beach all this week

I'm on cycle 7, I'm 4 dpo. We tried to conceive a beach baby, lol.

Gripe: while away I've come to the conclusion that I need to make a change at work. When I get back I'm going to ask for a demotion to a less stressful, true part time position. This had been a long time coming, I just cannot do it anymore.

Worst gift? Hmm not sure. Usually the gifts from MIL are pretty bad. One year she gave me a super sexy raunchy one piece from Victorias secret, and I opened it with all the men in the family watching me, that was awesome.

@spitsngiggles- yay for almost being potty trained!  DD has peed in the potty only twice and it's been at daycare.  I'm hoping to be out of diapers by the time she's 3.  That's a nice buffer.  The pretzel maker made me laugh...especially when you were on WW.  Some people...

@kjknaj - Good luck with bringing up the demotion.  Do you think they will take that well?  I'm being trained for a supervisor position (she's been here 35 years, so expecting her to retire in the near future) but I'm not sure I want it.  She works a lot and seems stressed out.  I'm not sure if I am ready for that right now.   Of course the pay would be nice.
