sorry

i'm sure this has been asked a million times. anyone have potty recommendations? my son is set on having a cars potty but i haven't read very good reviews on it. would love to hear which ones are most functional.

    No potty is functional for boys. You'll have to hold his penis down regardless of which one you get. That said, I definitely recommend a stand-alone potty over a ring. The ring was not nearly big enough for us to consistently get the pee into the potty.

    Also, if he's excited about it- get it. Anything to make potty training a positive experience for him.

    We have a Bjorn potty, an IKEA potty, a Prince Lionheart ring, and a Kalencom Potette Plus for the diaper bag. They all worked just fine. He doesn't need to hold down his penis and the pee goes in the right place in all of the potties that we have.

    I don't have a boy so I'm not help with how they function but I agree that if he likes cars, getting a cars potty may really help encourage him. If nothing else maybe get a ton of great car stickers and other decorations and let him decorate his own potty a cars theme.

    Sorry for this but can you explain what you mean by a stand-alone potty vs. a ring?
