Cholestasis

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had Cholestasis?  I started getting itchy hands and feet on Saturday night, especially my feet. I thought maybe I had bites but I didnt see anything and they continue to itch. I was up all night last night cause my feet were itching like crazy!  Anyhow, someone else posted about itchy feet yesterday and after reading a comment about cholestasis I mentioned it to my OB this morning and I now have to go do bloodwork tomorrow morning to see if I have it. Crossing my fingers I dont.  My question is, if you have had it did you notice any hives? When I got to work afetr my appt I noticed one of my feet has hives all over the side of it. I left a message for my OB telling her this and Im hoping that its a good sign that I dont have the liver disease....
Anyway, wish me luck for my test tomorrow and thanks to the person who posted about it yesterday as I wouldnt have thought it had anything to do with pregnancy at all!

    I have it, though at the time of my initial bloodwork my total bile levels were still normal (there are 3 levels they check and then average) but the one that rises first was slightly elevated, indicating they caught it early.   I've fought dry skin on one of my feet for years, so yes I do rashy spots on that foot, but they don't necessarily coincide with the itch.

    Glad your OB is being proactive and GL on your test!

    Yikes, the past week I have had terrible itching on the tops of my feet and ouside of my ankles.  There is no rash, bites or redness.  My feet have been swollen since the beginning of the 2nd tri so I thought maybe it was from the skin stretching.  I even said to my husband this weekend that I was going to ask my doctor if it is related to GD at all because I know diabetics can have some feet issues.  Well now i read this post and looked up the symptoms and I am worried.  Besides the itching I have dark urine no matter how much water I drink.  I have a call in to my OBGYN.
