50 Shades of Grey theme??

Ok, my original theme for my son's 1st birthday was Curious George.  Saturday we received an invite to our cousin's son's 3rd birthday.  Curious George.  So, scratch that idea.

My son's name is Grayson.  My friend (who's pretty crafty and an amazing party planner) thinks we can turn Mommy porn into a 1st birthday theme.  Any thoughts.  50 Shades of Gray(son)?  paint swatch invitations?  base the party around different shades of the color Gray?  maybe have a picture collage of 50 pictures of Grayson throughout his first year doing different things/different moods.

My husband isn't sold on the idea.  I think I'm into it!  It's unique, but I'm afraid people may get the wrong idea.

yea, I think I've decided it against it after some other opinions on other posts.

I want to make it clear that I was only using the name! this was not going to be an adult and inappropriate 1st birthday!!! I feel like some reading this might think that we were going to handcuff people walking in the door. It was basically just going to be based off the actual color gray and different shades of it, as well as showing his different little moods and personalities.

Disregard. lol, bad idea. Some invitees may take it literally to the book.

Glad to see you realized it was a bad idea.  Because it was.

Who cares if another kid has a Curious George theme?  If that's what you wanted, use it.  Kids can (and often do!) have the same themes.  When everyone is into ___ at a specific age, you're going to see this.

And I seriously doubt any parent is going to care. "Oh my! I just did this theme! How dare you copy me!?!?!"- um, yeah... that's not going to happen.

I'm glad you decided against it. On one hand I try not to take it too seriously, but on the other hand I have a hard time not questioning your judgment as a parent. :-) call me uptight. I just don't think mommy porn belongs at a child's birthday party

I think that would have been one he would not have lived down...lol. Kids that age are pretty simple, animals, pirates, cars, bubbles.... anything that does not scream SEX.

sure glade you can be that perfect parent! you know, the one who never over reacts to things such as miscommunication...
Also dont make it sick it's a play on words not a party where there would be dildos in the goody bags!
