I'm having a very rough morning. T&P appreciated! Throughout the night I had the big painful contractions that wake me up. This morning I woke up with terrible back and pelvic pain. Shortly after my contractions were 4 minutes apart. I bit the bullet and took Procardia. Contractions have slowed, still having dull back pain, and all the awful side effects of Procardia.
QOTD: I will be returning to work. I miss it so much!
I had a bad night last night, too. I was having way too many contractions. They were 5 minutes apart. DH told me I should just try to sleep to make them go away so I did. I'm not able to take Procardia, and so we would have had to go to l and d. I was able to sleep a little, but I would wake up a lot from pain and needing to go to the bathroom. This morning they are about 10 minutes apart. I'm just hoping they slow. I do not want to go back to the hospital.
Looks like we both had a tough time last night @staceymack keep us updated today.
QOTD: I will be a SAHM, and I can't wait!!!! DH told me years ago he wanted me to stay home, and I can't believe it is really going to happen. I have never not worked, and so it is going to be a huge change for me.
Good morning. 24w 6d Had a rough day yesterday due to the babies kicking me non-stop. I ended up having to be put on the contraction monitor and taking my Procardia early as my uterus was so irritated. I tried to nap and couldn't sleep because they were kicking so much. I ended up ordering turkey last night for dinner and it made them sleepy!! I gave in and had half an Ambien last night. My husband brought my Snoogle and earplugs that made it easier to sleep too. My neighbor is pretty noisy and has people staying with her all the time.
Now they are back to kicking up a storm. I start work again today. I am fortunate to have a job where I can work remotely.
QOTD: working mom. As I just said, I am fortunate to be able to work from home. My in laws have offered to come to our house and watch the kids and my husband also works from home. I am hoping it works out so we can keep them out of daycare until they are two. My parents are also retiring in December and bought the house behind us, so they will be helping as well. Very lucky for us.

Didn't have a good night I haven't slept since yesterday 7pm. My anxiety level is to the roof. I had occtional tightness never painful just tightness 2 an hr. I was very uncomfortable. Getting up 100times to pee
I am obsessed with reading cerclage success stories. Was thinking about calling dr today to discuss a plan being that I am 24wks Wednesday and cervix is 2.2 as of last Thursday but DH really wants me to taking things easy and wait till my appt on Thursday. I am going to just try. :-/ its going to be a long 3 days :-)
Qotd I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom but I think I am traumatized with being on bedrest :-/ I work for a cardiologist and have been with the practice for 10yrs. I am planning on spending 3 months with my little one then having my mom baby sit. I work 9-5 maybe I will start part time until baby is big enough for day care.
Today my little girl having kick boxing classes in me
I'm still having contractions and I don't feel like anything is stopping them. I'm on the procardia but I'm still getting at least four an hour. They weren't dilating me in the hospital so I'm hoping I will still be at a 2 on Friday at my appointment. I did sleep much better in my own bed though.
QOTD- I stay home and run an in home daycare so I feel like I get the best of both worlds.
My night was ok, I stayed up til 11 watching a movie, and then got woken up between 12 and 12:30 for vitals, and they put me on the monitor. I also woke up a lot to pee, or just being uncomfortable. QOTD: I wouldn't mind being able to only work part-time, but we need 2 incomes, so I will be going back to work.
There are so many today that are having contractions, and had rough nights. I hope the contractions stop for all of you, and you have a better day and night!
@stacymack - big prayers! The big contractions are terrifying. Procardia sucks, but it's awesome when it helps!
Night was fine, DS slept all dang night! That means that we slept most of the night. I had a lot of contractions yesterday, thankfully none that woke me up last night.
QOTD: SAHM I'm so ready to have DS back from daycare and deal with exhaustion and TWO kids (ahhh still boggles my mind!) that won't nap and that sometimes drive me crazy!
I slept good, dh is home, usually he has to leave Sun night to get to dc for work but his boss told him to work from home this morning and then leave. So we got the nursery set up last night Its so pretty! I want to stay in there.
I am going to be a sahm. I love my job as a preschool teacher, but if I worked I would not actually make any money, I would lose money by paying for day care. And there is no retirement or anything. Besides, I worked hard for this baby and she will have a lot of special needs, I am not letting anyone else have one of her special moments while I miss them.

Ladies! It was contractions Sunday. I hope everyone is calming down and doing better. You all sound like you know what your doing when you have bad nights. I'm hoping and praying everyone feels better now and all LOS stay put! My night was a bust. Vitals at midnight. Started my 3 hour glucose at 5am. Fell back asleep about 930am woke up at 1130am for vitals and heparin shot. QOTD: the peditrician has said that if baby girl has any respiratory issues she can not go into daycare for at least 6 months. This is all up in the air depending on when she makes her arrival. Which like you all, I hope is NOT for a very long time. If all is OK I plan to go back to work 12 weeks after her birth.
Thoughts and prayers to those of you struggling with contractions.
Hard time falling asleep last night, felt like things were crawling across my skin. Luckily, that did not transfer into my dreams! Overall, it was a good mellow weekend with a break from the intense pressure feeling and contractions. Next checkup is on Wednesday and hoping my cervix is holding steady at 1.3cm.
I'm lucky enough to be a special education teacher with an SO that works from home. I do most all my servicing in the gen ed classroom which makes planning easier than when I ran my self-contained classrooms. If the baby comes on time, I will be taking off though the first of the year using up sick leave and then some of my FML. After that, I'll go back half-time, through the end of the year. If we can afford it, I may continue that through next year as well. If the baby comes way early, then I may return part-time before Christmas. Right now, I'm hoping to get clearance to return to work at the end of August when I will be closer to 32 weeks and school resumes. I don't have many sick days and would like to get my schedule and classroom semi-organized for my sub. They will be deciding that at my August 16th appt.
Last night was pretty uneventful and my son slept in until almost 9 this morning, so I'm well rested today. Saturday was a different story with contractions most of the day. At their worst they were 4 minutes apart and very painful. It was exhausting.
QOTD: I am a SAHM and I absolutely can't wait to be able to do things with my son like I used to. I miss playing with him!
I am so sorry about all of the contractions! Sounds like a rough night for so many, especially with contractions.
Wallace, keep us posted about the appointment. Fingers crossed.
DD got off to school without a hitch and was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten!!
QOTD:
I am a working mom (when not on bed rest) and recognize that I do not
have the patience to be a SAHM and am a much better and more involved
parent when I work too. I am excited to be home every day for the first
half of DD's school year though.
Staceymack- thoughts and prayers with you as well as with 10-4, Ayreka, and kneenah.. I was up a lot last night due to having to go to the bathroom, but a pretty decent night.
QOTD: I will hopefully be taking a yr off of work (I'm a speech therapist in a school district) and then returning after that.
DS#1 born 9/23/06
Twins DS#2 and 3 born at 31 weeks, 3 days due to a short cervix on 8/2/13.
I'm 22 weeks, 2 days and new to bed rest, what kind i'm on who knows!
I went in Tuesday night due to some pains I had been having since Friday night but just assumed they were nothing. They hooked me up and said I was having contractions every 4 minutes but I never felt a thing. The nurse did a manual check on my cervix and said I was dilated to 1 and they ordered a ultrasound that showed my cervix was shortened to 1.23 cm. I got to go home and sleep only to get up the next day and head to a higher level hospital for returned pain.
They admitted me Wednesday and had no contractions the whole time I was there (released on Thursday afternoon) I had 2 more ultrasounds 1 that showed funneling of my cervix and still shortened the other showed my cervix to be completely normal, until the tech started applying pressure and having me do things that may irritate it. Right back to funneled and short.
I go back tomorrow for a follow up ultrasound and am hoping for good news since my job fired me today because I will be out for so long.

Sorry your going through this. If indeed its your cervix you have a chance they can put a cerclage in. I would make sure you know exactly what's going on before you panic.. You still have time to save your pregnancy.... Sorry about your job :-/ Apply for unemployment or get a letter from your dr. It's illegal for them to fire you with medical proof you were told to temporary stay out of work.. Good luck keep us posted!!!
