Today is 11dpiui for me... IUI#5 (contrary to my signature, which I still can't seem to update)...

I am feeling pretty down in the dumps today. I started cramping yesterday, and felt pretty awful in the afternoon... crampy and an intense headache. This morning I have mild cramps off and on, I am feeling very bloated, and now I have the "flow feeling" that I get before AF. So I feel pretty certain that I will have my period in the next couple of days. I know that there are lots of women that say that "they felt like AF was coming and it never came," but I am pretty in tune with my body, and I have felt this way the last 4 cycles, and I feel like this month is the same... Not sure what our next steps will be once we have confirmation that this is another BFN. I am thinking a face-to-face consult with the RE. I am feeling overwhelmed. We only have 1 vial of sperm left again, and can only afford to do one more IUI before taking a break (probably a significant break)... Plus, if 5 IUIs haven't worked, I have no confidence that a 6th one will be any different. Sorry for the ranting this early on a Monday morning. Just feeling pretty down today...

    QOTD: Early bird for sure!

    Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012

    5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN

    Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer!      *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581   *********William George born June 4, 2014*********

Had my HSG last week and although the doctor said she likes to wait until the radiologist fully reads it, she said all looks good! I have an appointment with her next week to discuss our plan of action! I need to call and set up our counseling appointment and K needs to get her blood work done, but other than that we just wait....

    FX for you @KH826

QOTD: I used to be a night owl, but then I got married to my wife who is a total early bird, so I'm more of an early-ISH bird :)

My boobs hurt so much I can't accidentally brush them with my arms without wincing - AF better get here quick, as that's the only way the pain will cease.  But, this is a good thing since I can schedule my first IUI after I start bleeding.  I'm excited!  I wonder if I'm going to have crazy pregnancy symptoms.  My breasts always get super-sore and I get bizarre cravings, even just from PMS.

Best of luck to you, KH!!  Baby dust from IN!

QOTD: I'm a night owl, definitely.  If I my schedule allowed it I would naturally stay up until 2 or 3 am and sleep until noon or 1:00 the next day.  It's bad.  I don't LIKE doing that, necessarily, because I feel like I miss the day, but that's just how my rhythm operates.

We are 6dpiui, and let me tell you... It it is so much different being the possible "baby holder" than the "baby holder supporter". So weird. I have 0 symptoms... Which I know is normal, but makes it hard to trust that anything actually happened while the Doc was poking around down there.
Also, the Doctor was confused when we told her that although it was MY first IUI it was OUR sixth. Then she said something like "oh, so A has failed the first five times... So now you're going to see if you can do better" Yipes. Uncomfortable and rude.
The IUI itself was fine, and then I went to hang out at camp for a few days. (I work as an Outdoor Program Specialist). It was sad being away from A but it was a good time to breathe fresh air and enjoy the world.
    So now we are waiting!
I also got a chance to talk to my best friend who also identifies as gender queer and on the trans spectrum. it was nice to talk to him, because he "gets" it. I was worried it would be a little uncomfortable, and possibly emasculating, but it was a great convo.... Intellectually AND emotionally :)

QOTD: I use to be a night owl, but in my old age, I seem to get up every morning like clockwork at 6:30am. Now I feel accomplished if I can sleep past 8:00am. Oh, how youth is wasted on the young...

Baby Hayden Frances born 12/20/14 at 11:11 a.m...  Our perfect little miracle.  Here's how we got here:

How are things going? things are going well been pretty good at keeping myself busy but the tww blues are starting to kick in wish there was a fast forward button. I am not testing to 13dpiui which always seems to be the day AF shows. So fingers crossed she stays far far away :)

QOTD: Are you an early bird or a night owl? I am an early bird, no matter what I can stay up super late and still wake up early with a bunch of energy.

Married in September 2010, started TTC journey November 2012

    Me-

    7 IUI- 2 CP- 2 BFN

RPL blood work 12/27, showed a balance translocation in chromosome 11;22

    Spouse-

    PCOS 4 IUI-4 BFN

New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.

Absolutely nothing to report. No temp shift, no bleeding, nada. I'm looking forward to our meeting with the RE on Friday, but frustrated to be waiting again. If things don't get moving soon, this transfer is going to get pushed into October. :(

QOTD: early bird, definitely! I cannot tell you how many parents have told me to get ready because once we have a baby, we won't be able to sleep past 6:30 on the weekend. Um, yeah...already doing that, thanks.

Man, so many early birds!  I envy you.  It is so embarrassing when I answer the phone at 1:00 with a scratchy voice because I was still in bed on the weekend.  I can't help it.  I get my second wind at 10:00 and I am ready to get stuff done until the wee hours.  I really thought I'd grow out of it when I became an adult and at 31, I feel like I'm well into my adult years and far too old to have this terrible habit.  Hopefully having a baby will force my clock to change, because I can't seem to do it on my own.

We tried to make it for our first IUI in July but all of the timing didn't work out. I was mildly disappointed but think it worked out for the best as a few very stressful days followed what would have been our insemination date. So we will be all set to start with this next cycle...looking at insemination about the middle of August. I'm really excited but also nervous that we might end up in that small percentage of those who have multiples. The way we look at it is whatever is meant to be will be.

QOTD: I used to be a night owl and am now an early bird....not too early though!

    Me: 30  DW (aka C): 29

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    ***CP mentioned***

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

     ****All Welcome!****

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Day 6 pre O...  It's crazy to think that this is our cycle to try.  Gulp!! I'm super excited though. I had a frappe coffee today - it'll be my last coffee for another couple of years.  Sigh.  I love the taste but I'm not really used to a lot of caffeine any more.  I am trying to remember all the "things" I used to do, like eat pineapple around implantation, drink tons of water, etc.

QOTD:  Night Owl, but having Kaden gets me up early, so I've become an early bird but not by choice - lol!!

Hey all! CD 14 for me today. FF was giving me crosshairs way too early, but after getting negative OPK's it finally reverted back to normal. I should be getting a positive test here in the next day or two (fingers crossed!!) and then hopefully a normal cycle for the remaining days. Our first AI is next cycle! We are so excited, but nervous and hoping it works! My acupuncturist is getting very excited as well. We are really hoping that the combination of charting, tempting and prophylactic care is the trick.

QOTD: Morning person...most of the time. It's currently 5:32 am and I've been working for 30 minutes now. I'd rather work early and be done early!

TTC our first. Married to, and madly in love with, my beautiful wife. Living with our fur baby and enjoying 19 nieces and nephews.
