I'm ready for the nausea to pass, b/c it's really beginning to cause trouble with the all day, every day timing, & it's not even set off by smells or food, it's really random. The other day, it was a fast food commercial, so apparently, thoughts/visuals can get you, too.
I was trying to talk to DH, & was saying "It's better to be safe than dented," & I got the 'd' out of my mouth before I started gagging repeatedly in so many different tones & sounds that he was laughing hysterically. He said I sounded like Steve Carrell when Jim Carrey makes him yell a bunch of gibberish.
I dare to try & put a fork-full of dinner in my mouth...start gagging, so, I leave the table so I don't gross everyone out. After leaving 3 different times, I just gave up. Tried to eat an hour later, got it down, but then 15 minutes after...gagged so much that I just should have let it go, b/c my stomach KILLED.
Today I'm at a parade with the kids, and I'm holding my son every time one of the trucks blasted their sirens b/c the volume just freaks him out, & I'm trying to encourage & reassure him while having yet another gagging fit. Then on our trip home, I start gagging again off and on for the full 70 miles, which if I don't drive, now all of a sudden I get motion-sickness. We get home, I'm showering the kids, & trying to wash them & gagging at the same time so my son keeps saying, "Mama, don't puke on me, 'kay? Mama, just puke in the toilet if you have to, but not on me, 'kay?" It took twice as long to wash him b/c he was concerned I'd yak on him.
Grrrr. So annoying. I can ignore or just deal with most of the symptoms, but the nausea is really getting old, & since I'm in my 12th week, it could at least start easing up if it doesn't want to quit totally, since it started what seemed like the day after we conceived! DH is like, "Your bump is firm..." but I said no, that's the abs underneath from the constant gagging for almost 12 weeks straight.
