I was waiting for my tea today @ the Coffee Bean and this grandmother was waiting for hers. ?We were on our way to the library and then the park (at least a mile walk), so Ethan was in the jogging stroller.
The grandmother asked me how old he was and when I told her that he was 2.5 y/o, she said, "then what's he doing in that stroller? he can walk. he should be walking."
Um. ?So, being the horrible mother that I apparently am, I have to explain to this yenta that we're walking all the way to the library and the park and if he walked there and back, it would take us hours. ?She still "tsk'd" me and walked away when she got her tea.
WTF??!! ?First of all, he's barely 34 inches tall and 23 lbs; it's not like I had a 45lb'er crammed into a travel system or anything. ?Second of all, mind your own freaking business, crazy grandma!?
Re: Random grandmothers need to put a sock in it.
Oh that would piss me off. Don't jogging strollers go up to 70 pounds. And thats a really long way for a toddler to be walking. Its not good on their legs or feet.

she "tsk'd" you? At that point I would have done more than walk away. LOL! Did she expect a 2.5 year old to walk a mile? I've just learned to give a little laugh/grunt that says it all.
(last week at church a lady asked how far along I was, and I told her. Her response - "well, you're kind of big for 27 weeks". Me - "uhhh" with a smart smirk on my face, then I walked away. I've done it to my MIL before too when she gives me unsolicited comments.
Next time, pull out the harness and say, I'll put this on him in a little bit. (I don't know if you use one or not, but I have, and I get lots of dirty looks from old people).

LOL. Some people have such nerve, it's insane.
I had some woman on the bus one day telling me I needed to get a nanny because having DS in daycare was no good. I just smiled and nodded, then shook my head when I got off the bus. I will never understand people who don't mind their own business.
