Trigger Injection (ovidrel) prior to IUI

How soon after a Trigger injection of ovidrel would you go  in for a IUI procedure?? Would you go in the next day???

TTC since 2012

Dx : DOR

IUI #1 (Follistim switched over to Menopur injections) - BFN

Attempted IUI #2 (Menopur injections only cycle) better response on the Menopur then the Follistim combination treatment cycle however my cycle was still canceled due to my eggs not maturing and follicles not growing enough on a high dose of Menopur (Re said I could try a cycle of comid + ovidrel  for an IUI) for my second IUI( praying this works for us)

Clomid + Ovidrel protocol worked still a BFN as a result

Attempted cycle  Clomid  + Ovidrel protocol for IUI # 3 (Unable to do this cycle due to a cyst)

IUI # 3 Clomid+ Ovidrel protocol - BFP    Beta #1 752  Beta #2  1536    Beta #3 3797

EDD 10/27/14

Our sweet baby boy arrived on 9/2/14 TTC # 2 Conceived without help- June 2015 July 2015- Miscarriage ( blighted ovum)

I have always heard that O happens about 24-36 hours post trigger, not 12. Sperm lives longer than eggs, IUIs are generally timed so that the sperm is waiting for the egg to drop.

Ok makes sense... they want the swimmers hanging around .. waiting for the glorious egg to arrive..  :P-- which is why when you are doing timed sex... that they say the days before O... are more important than the day after O.. :)

For my IUI's, I always triggered at 8pm and then went in two mornings later at 7am, if that makes sense?  So if I triggered at 8pm on Monday, I went in for the IUI at 7am on Wednesday. Also, as I understand it, washed sperm don't live as long, so timing it right is a bit more important.

** After  2 1/2 years of Unexplained IF, 2 failed medicated cycles, and 4 failed IUI's - our baby girl came to us through the miracle of

    Hi,
I get trigger shot also about 24+ hours before IUI. After I get the trigger, I schedule it for the next day (per doctor's orders). Interesting that washed sperm doesn't last as long. I didn't know that. Good luck!
Tried to conceive since September '12. Received fertility treatments since May '13 - September '13. No specific dx. 4 failed IUIs and one successful IVF! BFP 11/8/13!  1st beta: 200
