Well I can officially intro on the high risk board.
I'm 28 wks 3 days with b/g twins. At my OB appointment yesterday I explained the night before I was having cramping for about an hour, they discovered I am 90% effaced with a cervical length of 1.1. I had an NST done at the office & then sent home on procardia and modified bed rest.
OB said if my contractions didn't stop within an hour of taking the first dose of procardia to call. After an hour and a half the contractions slowed but still happening. I went into L&D and monitored for an hour and sent home again.
DH and I have two toddlers but plenty of help from both our families, we are very grateful and blessed to have them. They spent the night at my ILs and I'm missing them so much! I'm a very independent person and have a hard time depending on others and asking for help.
For STM, how did you deal with bed rest and your children? TIA

I have a DS who is 2.5 and I am a full time SAHM. When I went on SBR, my family (DH, parents - i was a wreck.) decided that it would be best for him to go to full time day care until I can get back out of bed. My OB told me there is no way that I can even think about taking care of him without major risk of delivering DD. I hate that he goes to daycare, but he loves it. When he comes home, he runs and jumps into my bed and snuggles. I love it. It's hard for his 2-year old mind to understand that mom is no longer fun and that I can't go outside, or run, or wrestle with him.
