Feeling SOOOOOO nostalgic today :)

One year ago today DH and I found out that IVF 1 was indeed successful, and that our sweet little princess was on her way.

This is so surreal to me, and my heart is so full and happy today, as I look at our beautiful daughter and also think back to that day when we conquered our IF diagnosis.

We were fortunate to get things moving quickly once we met with an RE - but our MFI dx came just 12 hours before DH's father passed away in his sleep, those were some of the most trying days of my life. When we completed our first IVF I had planned to test in advance - on my own, so I could digest results on my own (don't judge, it was just what seemed right at the time).... I wound up telling DH the plan and I was going to POAS the night before beta but then I chickened out... I remember the meltdowns I had in the days leading up to my beta convinced it did not work, they were UGLY.

When Beta day arrived - my boss was in town from TX, since I knew I would have to keep it together if I got bad news, DH and I decided that I would shut my phone off once I got to work and we'd let the call go to voicemail and listen to it together when weboth got home. I drove the entire 40 minute ride home that afternoon with my phone off, and when DH arrived we finally played the message.

I still have that voicemail on my phone, there are very few if any other times in my life i have been SO shocked with any type of news. And SO happy. Quite honestly, a year ago today was one of the most exciting moments in my life!

I did the same thing as you last week, reliving every step of our journey up to our beta results.  It's amazing to think of where we were just a year ago and now we have these wonderful little bundles of joy smiling at us every day.

I'm sure I speak for probably all of us when I say there is not a day that goes by where I am not grateful for the oportunity to be a mom

I'm with you Ducky...even though it sucks to have gone through what we all had to go through to get our LOs, how lucky we are to get to snuggle with them now.

This is a nostalgic time of year for me too. 3 years ago I was just starting stims for the IVF cycle that has given us a beautiful 2 year old and the baby that I'm pregnant with now.

Incredible!! I think if I time traveled back to tell myself that this would be the result, I wouldn't believe it!
