Transitioning to a new daycare

My boys are almost 6 mos old and we recently moved, and they are starting their new daycare on Monday and I'm nervous about it. They've been really clingy recently with the move and everything but they've also been home with me for several weeks while I've been looking for a new job so I'm kind of worried about how they will handle Monday and I'm kind of looking for advice on how to make the transition to go smoother.

Is there any way you can do half days for the first week?  We transitioned our son to a new daycare recently and he is dealing both with separation anxiety and the change of DC providers.  Having at DC for half days the first week helped with him getting adjusted to the new teachers although we still deal with some tears at drop-off.

Unfortunately I don't think that's possible so soon before I start. It's a great idea but I don't want to seem flaky to my new boss.
