Itchy tummy = stretch marks?

I'm 26 weeks and my stomach has started itching just in the last few days. I haven't seen any stretch marks yet, but am thinking this is a sign they are on the way! And here I thought I might be getting out of them! Any other ladies get super itchy right before the stretch marks showed up? How far along were you?

i was always itchy, but no stretch marks showed until 37 weeks. i thought i was in the freaking clear

My belly is really itchy and I just started getting stretch marks on the bottom of my belly. Up until now, I've only gotten stretch marks on my legs and back. I'm not saying the itching is an indicator....just that's what I'm going through.

Itchiness is not an indicator of stretch marks just lotion up and that Gould help... I can't help but advise ftms to air on the side of caution with feeling in the clear so soon... There is alot of growing left to do... I got mine at 38 weeks last time

This is my first and I've had them since freaking 23 weeks. I look like I got mauled by a tiger...I knew it would happen, my poor mom had them pretty bad & still does. My stomach IS itchy, but it started after they showed up so I don't think the two are related.

I have a road map of China from my other three, but nothing new this time around. They are coming though. Just keep up the lotion, coconut oil or coco butter and run with a flat hand so you don't break open the skin a d get an infection. But like everyone else said, itching is not an indicator you are going to get them. It's all genetics.
