Britax B-safe base access door won't stay closed

I just bought my daughter the Britax B-safe car seat as a shower gift and the access door on the end of the base won't stay shut. Is this supposed to be like this? Has anyone else had this problem?

Okay, saw the the base myself and solved my own problem. It is a place that is used to adjust the incline on the base. Got it to work although it's very difficult to get it to adjust.
