Alcohol for him

Hi ladies,

I saw there is some great information for newbies that includes info. about drinking in the TWW, etc. My question is about alcohol for the guy. We are TTC and I am predicted to O in the next day or two. H just went out to a late lunch with his boss and coworkers and I joked with him not to drink too much which got me thinking. For a guy who hasn't had a SA so we don't know what his counts are like, should I seriously ask him to refrain from drinking (or at least limit) in circumstances like this or would that be unnecessary? Thanks!

haha. Thanks. I definitely wanted him to have fun and confirm I wasn't missing anything before I even mentioned it. I know wine helps me! To each his own.

To be honest when I hear a couple is doing this I judge their relationship...

To be honest when I hear a couple is doing this I judge their relationship...

When I was preg my DH wouldn't drink wine. I love wine. Now if we were somewhere with other ppl drinking or they were at our house he would drink beer because i dont like beer. I told him he could but he told me that he didn't feel right having a glass of wine when I couldn't.

I'm pretty sure DH is looking forward to having a permanent Designated Driver for a while

I'm fairly certain I have a drinking problem (see how I dodged fully admitting it?) and plan to politely ask my DH not to have alcohol in the house when I'm pregnant. I'm also fairly certain he knows this about me and won't have a problem with the request. If he wants to get shitty drunk with his friends while I'm not there to poach his drinks? More power to him! I just don't want to test my self control, because clearly I fail at it.

Absolutely. 

On a similar note, very early in our relationship DH made a comment about how he would get fat "with me" when I got pregnant so I wouldn't feel bad. I was like, dude, that is so fucking stupid. I know what I am getting myself into when I get pregnant, I don't need you to do things to make me feel better. I am not 5, I don't need everything to be exactly equal in order to feel things are "fair."

I actually have read somewhere that heavy marijuana use can affect sperm. 

But not sure if that was "Just Say No" propaganda or a legit study.

I would imagine some moderate weekend usage probably won't hurt much.
